As a high school junior, the day I leave my family to be shipped to college is right around the corner. I’m sure many of us are in the same boat: we want to leave Greenville knowing we’ve made the most of our childhood and experienced everything our hometown has to offer. Before you face the nostalgia and homesickness for Greenville that you’re bound to feel in college, go through this summer bucket list of everything you need to do to before your final days of living under your parents’ roof.

Glaze Some Pottery, or Make Your Own!

An artistic and easy activity! Head to Color Clay Cafe to paint some ceramics and take a memento with you to school! Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, sign up for an intro pottery class at Hollowed Earth to learn how to throw on the wheel.

Whether you’re into symphony, jazz, or contemporary music, Furman hosts lots of musical ensembles at their lakeside amphitheater!
