Fr-amily Nights occur quarterly at The Children’s Museum of The Upstate

At this FR-amily Night, parents will hear from Anjeanette Dearybury on how to navigate the special education system. Ms. Dearybury has served as an autism advocate for over 25 years. As the parent of an adult with autism, she is extremely knowledgeable in the IEP process and in helping families navigate the Special Education System.

What is FR-amily Night?

At Fr-amily Night, Parents, friends (children with special health, mental health, and developmental needs), and siblings are invited to attend an engaging evening at The Children’s Museum of the Upstate – Greenville.

  • Parents will:
    • engage in a learning opportunity
    • hear from experts in fields that are of interest to them
    • participate in “Parent Chat”

  • Children will:
    • enjoy structured activites and supervised play throughout the museum

This free event is open to the first 30 families that sign up. Due to the limited space, TCMU requests that only those committed to attending reserve a spot.

Clarity has been located at the Center for Developmental Services (CDS) in the heart of downtown Greenville, SC since April of 2000. CDS is an umbrella organization that provides a place for a network of independent organizations to serve to children and adults with special needs under one roof. This allows children and adults with special needs and their families a single location to find all the services they need. CDS also helps the community learn more about developmental services and how to get involved.
