Are you looking for an affordable option for a birthday party that’s NOT at your home? Our readers often tell us what a great deal the Kindermusik birthday parties are with our sponsor Piano Central Studios, especially when they run their party deals! This is an incredible deal on a party (trust me, we know!) The date has been extended to November 31, 2015 (just for you) and once you purchase you can book your party anytime until 5-30-16. ~Bethany Winston
Today we had my oldest’s fifth birthday party at Piano Central Studios. Coincidently several months ago before I even started writing for the KAG blog, I snagged the deal they were offering our readers. Someone has a birthday very close to Labor Day so planning ahead is crucial. This was a perfect opportunity and as we’ll be offering this deal again, I plan to reserve a spot for my youngest’s spring birthday. ~Lindy Wilson, KAG Contributor
BIRTHDAY DAY DEAL: Just for you Piano Central Studios has chosen to extend their $79 birthday party deal for one extra month (expires on November 30, 2015)! This is a great deal when the weather is unpredictable.
A little about the birthday party at Piano Central Studios
We arrived a few minutes early to set up a few decorations for our Frozen theme. (Yes those cupcakes are homemade- how could you tell? Can you also tell they were a rush job one hour before party time lol!?) This was simple as they had a table for us in the lobby. I could have added even more balloons had I known the five we had would be such a hit but it was fine. I had been arranging everything in a box for weeks now so it was very easy to put out. Food and decor went on top of the table and gifts underneath with back up supplies. (It confused people to put gifts under the table but proved extremely simple to sit down on the floor and open them.) We even had Frozen reusable tote bags to contain things like favors and juice boxes. The lobby was cozy but had enough space even with many chairs for everyone. (Parties are maxed out at 15 kids which we were almost at plus adults yet kids could play and adults could walk around without bumping into each other.)
As guests arrived we directed them to the classroom for open play time. This is standard at Kindermusik parties and helps add a time cushion for late comers. Then the class started. Parents were free to stay and participate or linger in the lobby. I was shocked because for once I could actually talk to my guests without trying to coordinate the next steps! I actually felt bad for not participating more! Yet my daughter just gallivanted around perfectly fine while my baby hung back a bit. Unlike previous playground parties, we didn’t have to keep as close an eye on the kids and the only boo boos were minor from when the kids specifically tried wrestling one another. There was rhythm playing, song singing, stories, lots of circle dancing, BUBBLES and even a parachute! It was a very active and all the kids thoroughly enjoyed running around. The party was geared toward her age group of preschoolers but even the toddlers seemed to have fun. Our party was inadvertently scheduled during my 1 year old’s nap time so she was a little fussy but even she came around. The kids older than my 5 year old all seemed to love it too!
The adults seemed to enjoy kicking back. Those with young toddlers had to help guide them but otherwise this was a very chill party for parents. Next time I think I’ll arrange to have a game or something for the parents without young babies so they’ll have something to do other than talk or check their phones. Everyone seemed happy with the seating and glad we were indoors with air conditioning in addition to teacher led activities for the kids. Our 18 month old needed us nearby but was fairly independent.
Our hour of Kindermusik fun ended with singing “Happy Birthday” to our special girl. She also got a present from the teacher- a Kindermusik favor bag with an egg shaker, kazoo and some candies. These bags are available as an add on to your party and available in three different varieties to suit all ages and prices. This makes an easy way to do favors. Whether you opt for favor bags or not, all guests and the birthday child get a card for a free Kindermusik class.
After an hour, we regrouped to the lobby for cupcakes. I had also arranged a character visit but scheduled it ten minutes out as a buffer but the party went so smoothly that was unnecessary and I actually stood around trying to figure out what to do for a little bit! You have the second hour for yourselves so plan accordingly! Luckily our half an hour visit from Elsa and Anna went great with their storytime and singing entertaining everyone. For our next Kindermusik party, I plan to have some games and/or crafts for the children as cupcakes and present opening went quick. Word to the wise, cupcakes are highly recommended for almost any party as they’re already portioned and don’t require silverware. I usually bake ours but think I’ll go for pre-ordered mini’s next time and maybe get a pack or two of gluten free and/or dairy free options.
All in all our Kindermusik party at PCS was awesome! I’m already planning a second party there and the birthday girl is asking when she can go back so I’m also looking into a Kindermusik class. Both locations seem very convenient and close to the freeway. The Woodruff Road one is actually very easy to get to from Feaster/Verdin so you don’t even have to deal with Woodruff traffic!
