Posted on | No Comments

Do you know a local hero? The holiday season is the perfect time to give back to those who make our lives better all year around. With this in mind, the South Carolina based Joye Law Firm is asking for nominations for their first annual Local Heroes Holiday Contest. (sponsored content)

The Joye Law Firm will be awarding three special South Carolina heroes with $1,000 prizes to honor their acts of bravery and service to their communities. They are especially interested in honoring local heroes who are not usually recognized throughout the year.

Do you have an unsung hero in your life who you think is deserving of one of these prizes? You can nominate him or her through responding to the following essay prompt:

Nominate Your Local Hero

“To nominate a local hero, the entrant should write an essay of 600 words introducing us to the person you consider a local hero. Explain why the individual should be recognized for his or her deeds. We are prepared to be overwhelmed because we have encountered a number of people over the years who deserved recognition for their selfless and heroic actions. We know that they are out there.”

Entries are due on 11/01/2019.

Nominations can be made through the contest’s webpage: https://www.joyelawfirm.com/local-hero-contest/

The winners and their stories will be shared on the firm’s website and social media channels sometime in December.

The partners at the Joye Law firm are looking forward to reading about many outstanding South Carolina citizens who have given back to their communities. It is their hope that this contest will inspire people to recognize the “local heroes” in their lives during this holiday season.
