What to Expect When The Malls Reopen

Posted on | No Comments

Planning to head to the mall as they reopen? When local malls reopen May 1st, after being closed due to COVID-19 there will be changes and shoppers will need to be aware.

All malls will be encouraging visitors to follow the CDC’s social distancing guidelines.

While shopping centers are re-opening, retailers are being given the decision of whether they do or not. Many retailers furloughed the majority of their workforce and it might take some time to get stores ready for customers again.

The Gap Inc., the parent company of Old Navy, Gap, and Banana Republic said it has no plans to open any of its stores this weekend. In a statement released last week by The Gap Inc., they announced they failed to pay rent in April and might not have the money to keep funding its operations.
