St. Joseph’s Catholic School, in its 27th year of serving students in grades 6-12, is proud to announce the establishment of the Margaret Ann Moon Middle School Scholarship for families who believe that a Catholic school education is financially out of reach.
Mrs. Moon (1953-2014), one of the school’s nine Founders and the Founding Board Chair from 1993-2012, dedicated her life’s work to advocating for Catholic education. This scholarship is dedicated to her belief that in order for the school to be truly Catholic, a St. Joseph’s education must be accessible to all qualified students, regardless of their socio-economic background.
All current fifth-grade students who do not attend (nor have siblings who attend) Upstate Catholic schools (including SJCS) are invited and encouraged to apply. SJCS will award up to five middle school (half-paid tuition) scholarships to rising sixth-graders based on a combination of academic merit and need.
