BJU EDUcamp Jr. and Jr. Bruins Sports Camps

Learning and fun go hand in hand this summer at EDUcamp Jr. and Jr. Bruins Sports Camps at Bob Jones University.

M&G Kids Create! Summer Art Day Camp
Elements of Art 
For first time kindergartners (turning 5 years old by September 1, 2024)
Introduce your little one to art and creativity through M&G’s specially designed kindergarten camp focused on the Elements of Art. Your beginner will enjoy multiple art projects, age-appropriate lessons, interactive games, and snacks while learning about line, shape, color, and texture.
Dates: June 3-7 and June 10-14 from 9:30AM – Noon
A Quest for the Medieval
For rising 1st—6th grade (ages 6-12)
Dragons, kings, castles, and queens! Embark on a medieval adventure of learning and creativity through engaging lessons, snacks and games. Your 1st-6th grade campers will experience what life may have been like in the Middle Ages as a serf, knight, or royal. After viewing art forms like tapestry, metal working, calligraphy, and stained glass, campers will explore creating their own manuscripts, sculpture, coat of arms, and more!
Dates: June 3-7; June 10-14; and June 17-21 from 9:30 AM – Noon
Fee: includes daily instruction, art supplies, and snack

Medieval Artisans 
For 6th-8th grade (ages 12-14)
Similar to the elementary camp emphasis, middle school craftsmen will explore the art and times of the Middle Ages through interactive lessons and reviews. Young artisans will delve into the world of Medieval art by exploring the crafts of bookbinding, calligraphy, and illuminated manuscript illustration.
Dates: June 17-21 from 9:30AM – Noon

We’re excited to host another great summer at Roper Mountain Science Center, the home to more than 100 week-long half- and full-day camps for children in completed grades K4 through 9. Our hands-on activity-based educational Summer Explorations Camps mix a wide variety of fun in a wide range of topics. With selections of old favorites and new offerings from art to animals, pop culture to physics, lots and lots of Legos, and, of course, science for all ages, there is truly something for everyone at Roper Mountain. Come join us for a fun-filled adventure this summer.

Hagood Mill Historic Site

Education and Field Trips: Hagood Mill offers tours of the 176-year-old mill, the Hagood Creek Petroglyph Site, blacksmith shop, and moonshine still. Children may watch demonstrations by local artisans, participate in hands-on activities, and experience workshops. There are several field trip options including one-day or multi-day trips, traveling field trip shows, and virtual field trips.
