Magical Mornings Camp (ages 3 – 5)

Come join our Magical Mornings camp this summer at Arts in Motion! Students will participate in weekly themes to help put on a show by learning to dance, crafts, a story they create, and ends with a performance! 

Broadway Bound Camp (ages 6 and older)

Students ages 6 and up will participate in creating and putting on a show in 4 weeks. Students will learn scenes, choreography, music, and explore behind the scenes by assisting in set painting, prop design, and costumes! Each session will end with a performance. There are two Broadway Bound camps to choose from. 

Descendents: June 5th – 20th; 9 am – 3 pm
Matilda: July 5th – August 4th; 9 am – 3 pm

AIM will also offer weekly summer classes Tuesday through Thursday, including Ballet/Tumble, Ballet/Tap, Jazz/Musical Theatre, Tumble & Twirl, Intro to Acro, Acro I and II, Ballet/Lyrical, Intro to Hip Hop, Beginner Hip Hop, DSAU Discover Dance Class, and Visual Art

Make this summer dramatically fun!  Drama Kids offers exciting summer camps that develop communication, collaboration and self-confidence.  These dynamic camp experiences encourage students to realize their full potential and equip them with life skills that will guarantee success!  Perfect for all kids, regardless of experience.  For ages 6-11.  Each theme is a ½ day camp that can be combined with another for full days of fun!

The Wonderful World of Wizardry: June 5-10 and July 10-14 – Master potions and spells at the School of Magic.  Prepare for the epic battle against the darkness and prove that good triumphs all!

Whodunit Mystery Camp: June 5-10 and July 10-14 – Collect clues, examine evidence, and follow the trail to the truth.  This mystery camp is sure to keep campers guessing!

Camp Hollywood: June 26-30 – Do you have what it takes, kid?  Walk the red carpet, shoot a new movie, and we’ll help you get ready to be a Hollywood movie star!

Rockstartopia: June 26-30 – Time to rock out!  Join your new band to record your newest hit, play a concert for your fans, and let your inner Rockstar free!

About SCCT’s Education Program
Established in 1992, SCCT’s Theatre Arts Conservatory is a year-round program for students ages 3-18. The format includes Advanced-Level Studios, Intermediate, Process, Musical Theatre, Story Drama, and Exploration Classes, as well as Specialty Classes & Workshops. Each format offers unique games, activities, and challenges for the theatre student.

We believe that theatre arts training is like any other form of training; the more you do it, the better you get. Just as a dancer takes class after class of ballet; or a soccer player trains year after year with a team, theatre arts training is most effective when the student is repeatedly exposed to vocabulary, theories, and exercises. At SCCT, we hope to provide a variety of creative opportunities that encourage creative thinking, develop verbal and social skills, and bolster self-esteem. Skills needed for any job, not just acting.

WELCOME TO SUMMER ENCOUNTERS, CAMPS FOR CURIOUS KIDS!

2023 camps will begin May 31! Summer Encounters is a day camp program in Greenville, SC. It hosts a comprehensive, diverse, and exciting collection of summer camps that provide meaningful opportunities for any child in grades K4 to 12. With almost 300 camps (75 are NEW) over 11 weeks, Summer Encounters offers something for everyone! Adventures in sports, creative pursuits, cooking, science and technology, service learning, and more! There are even some fun academic camps to give kids a “jump start” on the next school year. Last year approximately 1700 campers from over 100 schools explored with us.

Summer Encounters Camps would be honored to invite your family to join us for an exciting summer of new discoveries, friendships, and lasting memories. Registration opens on February 15th. This all-day camp focuses on art, music, theatre skills, creative writing and dance. Each themed session ends with a Family Day Program. For ages 4 – 6th grade.

Sessions available throughout June – August 2021

Offers summer camps for ages 6-17.
Camps available include Broadway Beginner, Leading Play 2 Week Intensive, Broadway Bounch, Shakesphere It Up! (ages 10-17), and young PlayWrights (ages 10 -17)

Times: 9:00 – 1:00 or 9:00 – 5:00 (ages 12-17 only)
Cost: $115 – $175 / week

Offers: These week-long camps include options to learn about plays, musicals, improv, and auditioning. Campers get to experience live theatre and be a part of a group performance at the end of the week. Classes are for ages 7 – 15 (grouped by age).

Offers: Week-long course in a field of interest with a university instructor. Current Clemson students serve as mentors who guide Scholars through the week.

Two 7-day camps in August 2021, producing Kidz on Broadway 4. For ages 9-18.

Offers: USC Upstate offers two drama/theatre summer day camps for kids between the ages of 8 – 18. Technical Theatre Camp is June 7 -11 from 10 am to 5 pm. Drama Camp is a two-week camp offered June 14- 18 and June 21-25 from 9 am to 5 pm. Each camp is held in USC Upstate’s Humanities and Performing Arts Center.

SYT offers several different weekly camp options for students in grades K4-12th. These theater camps are great for beginners or those wanted to improve their skills.  Please see their website to view the various themes and options.

Camp ARK (Arts Reaching Kids) is a beginner level arts camp for ages 5-10, including instruction in art, dance, drama, and music. Camp runs Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 4 pm

Greer Cultural Arts Center offers Arts in Action visual and performing arts summer camps, for kids ages 5 -10.

Offers: Designed for young artists between 1st and 12th grades, the Glow Lyric Theatre Opera Experience provides an introduction to the many facets of opera performance and helps young artists develop as singers and actors.
