YMCA of Greenville Summer Day Camp

Day Camp at the YMCA of Greenville is a great place for children and teens to start finding magic in the adventure! We are excited to have your camper experience a fun-filled, exciting summer!

It is important that your child has a wonderful “first”, “second”…or “seventh” camp experience. The YMCA of Greenville’s goal is to create an atmosphere of trust and friendship so that each camper will feel happy and confident at camp. Campers’ activities include but are not limited to: assemblies, choice activities based on weekly themes, skits, stories, arts & crafts, fitness activities, relays, character development, academic enrichment and counselor huddle times.

The YMCA of Greenville camp program is progressively structured to challenge children according to their age. Camp programming is planned to give children an introduction to a wide variety of camp activities, along with providing them the opportunity for creative expression.

Summer Day Camp is offered at Caine Halter Family YMCA (Greenville), Eastside Family YMCA (Taylors), George I. Theisen Family YMCA (Travelers Rest), Judson Community Center (Greenville) and Prisma Health Family YMCA (Simpsonville).

Financial assistance is available for most camps.

Our camps, including Adventure and Voyager, both located less than an hour away from Greenville, are accredited by the American Camp Association and focus on fostering excellence in youth development. At Camp Voyager, located in Pickens, SC, campers will experience a summer adventure packed with technology, outdoor activities, games and more. They will have an adventure like no other while conquering the vertical playground, exploring virtual reality with Oculus Quest, or piloting a Drone.

Our all-day camps run from May 28th until August 2nd, with our days spanning from 7am to 6:30 pm.

We welcome children ages 5 to rising 8th graders.

Together we’ll explore a variety of opportunities, take field trips, learn Taekwondo, and grow into confident leaders. Here at Greenville Martial Arts Center we limit screen time and focus heavily on play, creativity, and our core Tenets; Courtesy, Integrity, Self-Control, Indomitable Spirit, Perseverance, and Loyalty.

Camp Griffin: The Ultimate Summer Experience!

Camp Griffin is where adventure, creativity, and fun come together for an unforgettable summer! Running from May 27 – August 1, 2025, our camp offers a dynamic selection of programs designed to engage and inspire campers of all interests. With options in sports, arts, STEM, outdoor exploration, culinary experiences, and more, there’s something for everyone.

Each week features exciting specialty camps led by experienced instructors who create a supportive and engaging environment. Campers can discover new passions, build confidence, make lasting friendships, and have a blast while learning new skills. Whether they’re mastering a new sport, experimenting in a science lab, hiking through the outdoors, or creating in the kitchen, every day at Camp Griffin is designed to be an adventure.

With both half-day and full-day options available, families can choose the schedule that works best for them. Weekly themed Griffin Games Fridays bring all campers together for camp-wide activities, adding an extra layer of excitement.

Where the Blue Ridge Mountains meet adventure, Camp Tekoa creates experiences that last a lifetime. Children experience our unique and loving Christian community, helping them to grow in faith, leadership and courage. Our Hendersonville location combines the natural beauty of Western North Carolina with dynamic programming for both day and overnight campers. A forest/farm school for 3-11-year-olds focused on teaching personal and environmental wellness through mindfulness lessons & reviving old-fashioned homesteading skills.

Field Trips & School Programs: The South Carolina Botanical Garden at Clemson offers 45-60 minute school programs intended to support your curriculum and grade level. Homeschool groups can visit as well. Fee is $5 per student. They also offer classes that are perfect for homeschooling families.

Offers youth camps and family/adult camps in Brevard, NC. Camps provide a Christian background along with outdoor adventure for grades 7 – 12.

2025 Summer Camp runs each week from June 2nd, 2025 – August 9th, 2025, with guest speakers each week, with check in on Monday and programs ending on Saturday mornings.

Falling Creek is a Christian summer camp for boys, located on 900+ private acres in western North Carolina. 1-4 week sessions for rising 1st-12th graders.

Hatcher Garden Discovery Camp offers children a fun, educational experience, with hands-on activities, exploring plants, animals, and nature through interactive learning.

Conestee Nature Preserve will offer Conservation Camp for rising 3rd-5th graders.
Full day, week long camps exploring wildlife, birding, forestry, and more.

Valley Forest School is offering summer camps in 2025 from ages 3 and older (camps vary by age). Most camps are from 9 am until 2:30 or 3:30 pm.

Wired Minds offers an academic summer camp. Academic camps are offered for rising 3rd through 8th graders, Monday through Friday.

Various themes per week, including coding, arts, and back to school prep.

AO Farm School (grades K-12) offers education rooted in faith, academics & agriculture, bridging the freedom & flexibility of homeschooling with the support of the school experience in a like-minded campus community.

Summer Camp 2025: Farm based summer camp for ages 5-17, rain or shine, dates in June and July (week long) from 9 am – 2 pm. $275 per week

Offers: Adventure and recreation camps for boys, rising 1st-12th grade.

Camp McCall run from May 29th, 2025 – August 3rd, 2025

A gospil centered, outdoor camp summer camp in Brevard, North Carolina for ages rising 3rd grade – 12th grade. The camp offers overnight camping.

The Girls Scouts of South Carolina- Mountains to Midlands offers programs to girls scouts of all abilities and backgrounds.

They offer special events, camps, cookie sales, and so much more! Upstate, SC troops are available for ages Kindergarten and up.

Camps in Spartanburg, Columbia, and an overnight Camp WaBak in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains are available.

The City of Greenville Parks & Rec is offering Super Summer Camp (2025), a fun-filled summer with field trips, educational time, arts & crafts, sports, games and more for children ages 6-12 years old! A healthy lunch will be provided each day. Camps are at David Hellams Community Center, Juanita Butler Community Center, Bobby Pearse Community Center and West Greenville Community Center.
