YMCA of Greenville Summer Day Camp

Day Camp at the YMCA of Greenville is a great place for children and teens to start finding magic in the adventure! We are excited to have your camper experience a fun-filled, exciting summer!

It is important that your child has a wonderful “first”, “second”…or “seventh” camp experience. The YMCA of Greenville’s goal is to create an atmosphere of trust and friendship so that each camper will feel happy and confident at camp. Campers’ activities include but are not limited to: assemblies, choice activities based on weekly themes, skits, stories, arts & crafts, fitness activities, relays, character development, academic enrichment and counselor huddle times.

The YMCA of Greenville camp program is progressively structured to challenge children according to their age. Camp programming is planned to give children an introduction to a wide variety of camp activities, along with providing them the opportunity for creative expression.

Summer Day Camp is offered at Caine Halter Family YMCA (Greenville), Eastside Family YMCA (Taylors), George I. Theisen Family YMCA (Travelers Rest), Judson Community Center (Greenville) and Prisma Health Family YMCA (Simpsonville).

Financial assistance is available for most camps.

Looking for a fun and personalized overnight camp experience that blends education with adventure for your child? YLI Camps offers five unique camps across South Carolina, each providing an exciting outdoor setting where both fun and learning come together.

Our camps, including Adventure and Voyager, both located less than an hour away from Greenville, are accredited by the American Camp Association and focus on fostering excellence in youth development. At Camp Voyager, located in Pickens, SC, campers will experience a summer adventure packed with technology, outdoor activities, games and more. They will have an adventure like no other while conquering the vertical playground, exploring virtual reality with Oculus Quest, or piloting a Drone.

Where the Blue Ridge Mountains meet adventure, Camp Tekoa creates experiences that last a lifetime. Children experience our unique and loving Christian community, helping them to grow in faith, leadership and courage. Our Hendersonville location combines the natural beauty of Western North Carolina with dynamic programming for both day and overnight campers. Whether scaling our climbing walls, zipping through treetops, navigating challenge courses, scouting hiking trails, or exploring our 2-acre lake, each activity is thoughtfully designed to build confidence, create friendships, and allow young adventurers to experience God in nature.

Dates: Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm (various weeks throughout summer)

OVERNIGHT CAMPS
Ages: 7-17
Dates: Weekly sessions June 1st through July 27th

Shared Worlds is a unique writing camp for rising 8th-12th graders who enjoy writing fantasy and science fiction.
Students get the opportunity to work with professional writers and bestselling authors.

Crossroads Summer Camp offers athletics, outdoor adventures, arts, relationship building, quiz bowl, and pool parties as part of their camps. Camper must be at least 11 years old.

Camps are currently sold out for 2025, but join the waitlist!

Offers: Week-long course in a field of interest with a university instructor. Current Clemson students serve as mentors who guide Scholars through the week.

Camp Fellowship provides unique summer programs for children & youth of all ages (grades entering K-12). They strongly believe camp is for everyone and work diligently to create exceptional programs that engage campers in faith formation, community building, personal growth and development, and loads of outdoor fun!

Offers youth camps and family/adult camps in Brevard, NC. Camps provide a Christian background along with outdoor adventure for grades 7 – 12.

2025 Summer Camp runs each week from June 2nd, 2025 – August 9th, 2025, with guest speakers each week, with check in on Monday and programs ending on Saturday mornings.

Camp McCall run from May 29th, 2025 – August 3rd, 2025

Offers: For students interested in science and math, the Governor School for Science and Math offers camps in STEM for rising 6th- 10th grade.
Camps offered include virtual camps, residential camps, and day camps.
Application Opens March 3rd, 2025

SC School for the Deaf and Blind has a free one-week summer camp for any child between the ages of 6-14 with visual or hearing impairment in the state of South Carolina. There are both a day camp option and a residential option.

PARI Summer Campers will enjoy rocketry, engineering, astrophysics, biology, adventure, and fun in the beautiful Pisgah Forest region.

Falling Creek is a Christian summer camp for boys, located on 900+ private acres in western North Carolina. 1-4 week sessions for rising 1st-12th graders.

Anderson University offers a variety of summer camps at Summer Institute for rising 9-12 graders in camps like Vocal/Choir, Engineering, Theatre, and an overnight scholars camp.

There are also a variety of sports camps in June and July for rising 8th – 12 grade students.

The Girls Scouts of South Carolina- Mountains to Midlands offers programs to girls scouts of all abilities and backgrounds.

They offer special events, camps, cookie sales, and so much more! Upstate, SC troops are available for ages Kindergarten and up.

Camps in Spartanburg, Columbia, and an overnight Camp WaBak in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains are available.

Camp Voyager Summer 2026
Overnight tech/outdoor camp for ages 9–15 at Camp Hannon (Sunset, SC). Week-long sessions June–July. Trained staff, unplugged confidence-building fun, t-shirt included.

Offers: From improving your tennis game to gaining tournament training, Nike Tennis Camp is a junior tennis camp for ages 8 to 17.
