YMCA of Greenville Summer Day Camp
Every summer has a story, and we can’t wait to start our Summer 2022 adventure at YMCA of Greenville’s Summer Day Camp! Offered for school-aged children, the YMCA of Greenville hosts a variety of weekly camps like full-day traditional summer day camp and teen camp, half-day specialty camps for sports, aquatics, dance, and science, and extended day camp for specialty camp participants who want the full-day experience.
Summer Day Camp is offered at Caine Halter Family YMCA (Greenville), Eastside Family YMCA (Taylors), George I. Theisen Family YMCA (Travelers Rest), Judson Community Center (Greenville) and YMCA Program Center (Simpsonville).
We will continue to implement best practices from the CDC and SC state guidelines for COVID childcare policies and procedures.

For years, generations of campers have experienced YMCA Camp Greenville’s “magic on the mountain.” Our unique mountaintop setting on 1,400 acres and adventurous programs make for unforgettable experiences that provide a lifetime of memories.
Camp Greenville has 3 overnight session offerings:
Base Camp: Our traditional overnight experience. Live in cabins, eat meals in the dining hall, enjoy campfires, evening programs and more.
Adventure Trips: Enjoy the camp experience while taking a trip with a specific activity focus. Campers spend two nights at camp, then leave for three nights on their trip, and return for the final night back at camp.
Specialty Camps: Our stand-alone options include Mini week (a 3-night session for our youngest campers), Parent + Me (for campers and their parents), and Leadership Development Program for high schoolers.

Asbury Hills is a summer camp and retreat center in the mountains of South Carolina. Our week long summer camp sessions serve rising second graders through rising seniors in high school. With over a dozen different sessions, there is sure to the perfect option for your schedule and camper. Some of our sessions are aquatic activity focused while others emphasize our high ropes elements. Is your camper interested in a little bit of both?! No problem! Our Core camp is perfect for campers who want both aquatic activities and high ropes or the first time camper. We also offer a half session for elementary aged campers who are not quite ready for a full week of camp. Are your children too young for a weeklong session? Do you want to experience summer camp as a family? Register your entire family for our Family Camp session in July. This is a weekend session focused on family and the fun of camp. Get your kids excited about the outdoors with high-adventure activities like swimming, hiking, and archery! Trail Blazer Summer Camps offer a unique outdoor experience in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy crafted theme weeks like Minecraft and Recon camp that will transport each camper into a new world. TBSS camps for kids ages 10 – 14 and begin the last week in May. Offers: Half-, full-day, and overnight camps are offered throughout the summer. Intensive English instruction is student-centered, includes interaction with local teenagers, field trips, and homestays with local families. For 2nd – 11th grade.

2022 schedule: June 12th – 24th
Offers: For students interested in science and math, the Governor School for Science and Math offers CREATEng (rising 8th and 9th graders), and iTEAMS Extreme (rising 6th, 7th, and 9th graders) which will be hosted by Sterling School in Greenville this year. They also offer a week long SummerSTEM Virtual Camp (rising 6th to 10th graders). Day camp CREATEng (for rising 7th, 8th and 9th) and residential camp GoSciTech (rising 8th,9th,10th) are both held at their school campus in Hartsville.
Dates: Greenville, June 20 to 30; Virtual Camp, June 20 to July 22; Day and Residential Camp, from June 12 to July 1.
SC School for the Deaf and Blind has a free one-week summer camp for any child between the ages of 6-14 with visual or hearing impairment in the state of South Carolina. The camp is packed full of traditional summer camp activities (i.e. horseback riding, swimming, crafts, cooking class, technology). Students stay on the campus for the week, but there is also a day option.
Shared Worlds is a unique writing camp for rising 8th-12th graders who enjoy writing fantasy and science fiction. Students get the opportunity to work with professional writers and bestselling authors. Apply by April 1st on the website. The 2020 camp is July 19th – August 1st.
GoSciTech is the Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics’ (GSSM) annual residential summer science camp, designed for rising 8th, 9th, and 10th graders. Courses offered during the camp include Pre-Med & Anatomy, Marine Biology, Science and the Law, Codes and Cryptography, and many more! Courses are taught by GSSM faculty, college and university professors, and experts working in the field. Camp is held at GSSM’s Hartsville, SC campus. The application deadline is May 15th.

Offers: From improving your tennis game to gaining tournament training, Nike Tennis Camp is a junior tennis camp for ages 8 to 18. Check their website to select from a day camp (8:30 am to 4:30 pm), extended camp (8:30 am to 5:30 pm) or overnight camps at Furman University.
