Things To Do in Landrum, SC
The Blue Wall Preserve
This 575-acre preserve is owned by The Nature Conservancy and has stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The trails are well defined, and at the back end of the 3.4-mile loop, you will be rewarded with a waterfall. There are no restrooms or other facilities nearby, so plan accordingly.

Brookwood Park
This small playground and park sits right in the middle of town. It has a picnic shelter, restrooms, and a half-mile hiking path that goes through a wooded area at the rear of the park.
Elf Leaf Farm
This small locally owned lavender farm offers u-pick events in the spring and early summer. You can also find them selling their lavender products at the Landrum Farmers market.
The Saturday Farmers Market
Saturday mornings in the grassy area next to the train tracks and adjacent to the Hare and Hound, you’ll find the Landrum farmers market. There are usually around 40 vendors set up with a good deal of the vendors selling edible items.
Foothills Equestrian Nature Center
The equestrian center offers 384 acres of varying environments for hikers, birdwatchers, stargazers, and more. The nature center is located in Tryon, NC. However, it’s just a few miles from the center of town in Landrum and definitely worth visiting.
Tryon International Equestrian Center, Saturday Night Lights

Southside Smokehouse and Grill
The Smokehouse offers online ordering for carry-out, and has an outdoor dining area. The menu includes smoked meats, salads, sandwiches, and Cajun-inspired dishes.

This pub-style restaurant is almost synonymous with the town of Landrum. Nine times out of ten when someone is talking about Landrum, The Hare and Hound gets brought up. They serve traditional pub food like burgers, pot pie, sandwiches, and soups. You can place your order online and grab it to take to a local park to dine alfresco. Just remember to ask for silverware.
The Hare and Hound is super kid friendly – they have a popcorn machine that is freshly made while you’re there.
