We’re excited to host another great summer at Roper Mountain Science Center, the home to more than 100 week-long half- and full-day camps for children in completed grades K4 through 9. Our hands-on activity-based educational Summer Explorations Camps mix a wide variety of fun in a wide range of topics. With selections of old favorites and new offerings from art to animals, pop culture to physics, lots and lots of Legos, and, of course, science for all ages, there is truly something for everyone at Roper Mountain. Is your elementary student struggling in school? Camperdown Academy offers rising 1st-6th graders a chance to combine summer learning with summer FUN at Camp Creekside!

Specially trained in the Orton-Gillingham Approach, teachers utilize multisensory instruction with a campwide 5:1 student to teacher ratio to ensure maximum progress. Academics in the morning focus on reading, writing, and math. Afternoons are filled with adventures that provide an exciting and engaging camp experience.

Weekly themes will have your child eagerly anticipating Board Battles, Sports are a BALL, Stroke of Art, Olympics-Go for Gold, and STEM-tastic adventures.

Camperdown Academy is a school that specializes in successfully helping children who struggle with language-based learning differences. Camp Creekside does not require that your child have a documented diagnosis for dyslexia.

All camp activities take place on the 10 acre campus in the heart of the Verdae community near downtown Greenville. The summer camp is run by the experienced and dedicated teachers of Camperdown Academy.

Camp Creekside is a five-week adventure designed to deliver academic results. Dates are June 10-July 19 with no camp the week of July 4. Camp runs from 9am-3:30pm weekdays with an optional early 8am arrival. Cost is $400 per week.

Offers: For students interested in science and math, the Governor School for Science and Math offers camps in STEM for rising 6th- 10th grade.

2024 GoSciTech Applications open in March

STEM Day Camp is for incoming 9th – 12th grade students. All activities will challenge students to apply STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) topics to real-world situations. Activities may include rocket launching, drone aerodynamics, programming rovers, engineering with dominoes, 3D printing, crime scene analysis, and analyzing chemical reactions.

Over a fun-filled week at  YLI Headquarters in Pickens, SC, campers will test their creativity and problem-solving skills. This camp is for children aged 9 – 15.

Camps are overnight, week-long, and begin June 2nd, 2024 – July 26, 2024

Wired Minds offers an academic summer camp. Academic camps are offered for rising 3rd through 8th graders, Monday through Friday.

Various themes per week, including coding, arts, and back to school prep.

Summer Camp will run June 3rd, 2024 – August 5th, 2024!

Camp will fun 7:30 am – 3:00 pm

The morning will be art projects, robotics/coding, and math and academic refreshers. The afternoon is for field trips (field trips, skating, arcade, swimming, etc).
