YMCA of Greenville Summer Day Camp

Day Camp at the YMCA of Greenville is a great place for children and teens to start finding magic in the adventure! We are excited to have your camper experience a fun-filled, exciting summer!

It is important that your child has a wonderful “first”, “second”…or “seventh” camp experience. The YMCA of Greenville’s goal is to create an atmosphere of trust and friendship so that each camper will feel happy and confident at camp. Campers’ activities include but are not limited to: assemblies, choice activities based on weekly themes, skits, stories, arts & crafts, fitness activities, relays, character development, academic enrichment and counselor huddle times.

The YMCA of Greenville camp program is progressively structured to challenge children according to their age. Camp programming is planned to give children an introduction to a wide variety of camp activities, along with providing them the opportunity for creative expression.

Summer Day Camp is offered at Caine Halter Family YMCA (Greenville), Eastside Family YMCA (Taylors), George I. Theisen Family YMCA (Travelers Rest), Judson Community Center (Greenville) and Prisma Health Family YMCA (Simpsonville).

Financial assistance is available for most camps.

The Fine Arts Center Summer Arts Intensive is a four-day program designed to help students in grades 7-11 prepare for the Fine Arts Center curriculum. The program is geared toward students who:

1. Have a strong interest in the arts and want to deepen their skills,
AND
2. are in Middle School or High School and are strongly considering auditioning for the FAC in the future,
OR
3. have auditioned for the FAC and want to improve their skills.

Tuition for the program is $200.00. The program runs from June 2-5, 2025 at the Fine Arts Center – 102 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville. Students from Title I middle schools attend for free and have access to bus transportation. Students who have the “Pupil in Poverty” designation may qualify for financial assistance.

9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – Novice to medium level students who desire to improve their fundamentals.
1:00 to 4:00 p.m. – Advanced students who will work on refining their already present skills.

Shipshape Farm summer camps are an all-around, old-fashioned, good time! We are outside all day, every day – so kids return home happy and tired. We play old school field day style games every day, create hands-on crafts, explore the land, get hands-on time with the animals, dig in the garden (And taste test all the veggies!). We also enable plenty of time for imagination and relationship building.

Camperdown Academy is a school that specializes in successfully helping children who struggle with language-based learning differences. Camp Creekside does not require that your child have a documented diagnosis of dyslexia.

All camp activities take place on the 10-acre campus in the heart of the Verdae community near downtown Greenville. The summer camp is run by the experienced and dedicated teachers of Camperdown Academy.

Camp Creekside is a five-week adventure designed to deliver academic results. Dates are June 9 – July 18 with no camp the week of July 4. Camp runs from 9am-3:30pm weekdays with an optional early 8am arrival. Cost is $400 per week.

Take flight this summer at Triple Tree Aerodrome with ACE Summer Camps! This immersive 4-day aviation experience includes hands-on seminars, ground school lessons, aviation activities, and workshops on basic restoration skills. The highlight? A flight opportunity in one of the Triple Tree Aircraft!

Camps are divided into Radio Control Camps (for rising middle schoolers) and General Aviation Camps (for rising high schoolers), ensuring age-appropriate learning and engagement. At World Upside Down, students dive into the creative arts each week through music, dance, theater, and visual art. Campers will learn an energetic song and dance, craft vibrant art projects, and bring stories to life through theater. They also engage in fun games and competitions inside the studio and at the park. The week culminates in a lively showcase where they share their talents with family and friends.

Anderson University offers a variety of summer camps at Summer Institute for rising 9-12 graders in camps like Vocal/Choir, Engineering, Theatre, and an overnight scholars camp.

There are also a variety of sports camps in June and July for rising 8th – 12 grade students.

BDC’s Summer Camp Offers structured classrooms by age group for children 4 years old and up. Children will experience various programs and activities each day which allows them to try new things and enjoy everything BDC’s summer camp has to offer. BDC’s Summer Camp has a variety of programs that focus on academic success, health and wellness, character building, leadership, sports, recreation as well as exploration of the arts including dance and tumbling. BDC’s Summer Camp provides breakfast, lunch, and snack during the summer. We provide a fun and enriching program for elementary, intermediate, and middle school students.

We are an art studio offering approachable art making to all ages and abilities! Paint, craft, and create with us at a class, camp, or special event!

SDC offers summer camps for multiple age ranges, including preschool, and ages 3 and up. Cost is $25 each for evening camps, and $67+ for morning camps.

Offers: Daily riding lesson or trail ride, educational horse activities like grooming, saddling, horse safety, healthcare, and feeding. Campers will also enjoy horsey arts & crafts, a Bible devotional, and a snack. For ages 6 – 14.

Offers: The program, which is held at the Spartanburg Humane Society, teaches campers about basic dog obedience, responsible pet care, and issues impacting animal welfare. Half-day mini-week and week-long sessions are available

STEM Day Camp is for incoming 9th – 12th grade students. All activities will challenge students to apply STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) topics to real-world situations. Activities may include rocket launching, drone aerodynamics, programming rovers, engineering with dominoes, 3D printing, crime scene analysis, and analyzing chemical reactions.

Come dance with the Mauldin High School dance team, the Mavettes! Ages 4 – 12.
4 day camp where campers will learn a dance, dance skills, and complete a craft.
Campers will have a performance for their family on Thursday.
Each dancer will receive a pair of poms and a T-shirt.
Campers will also be invited to dance the pregame show at a football game with the Mavettes in September.
