YMCA of Greenville Summer Day Camp
Every summer has a story, and we can’t wait to start our Summer 2022 adventure at YMCA of Greenville’s Summer Day Camp! Offered for school-aged children, the YMCA of Greenville hosts a variety of weekly camps like full-day traditional summer day camp and teen camp, half-day specialty camps for sports, aquatics, dance, and science, and extended day camp for specialty camp participants who want the full-day experience.
Summer Day Camp is offered at Caine Halter Family YMCA (Greenville), Eastside Family YMCA (Taylors), George I. Theisen Family YMCA (Travelers Rest), Judson Community Center (Greenville) and YMCA Program Center (Simpsonville).
We will continue to implement best practices from the CDC and SC state guidelines for COVID childcare policies and procedures.

YMCA Camp Greenville
For years, generations of campers have experienced YMCA Camp Greenville’s “magic on the mountain.” Our unique mountaintop setting on 1,400 acres and adventurous programs make for unforgettable experiences that provide a lifetime of memories.
Camp Greenville has 3 overnight session offerings:
Base Camp: Our traditional overnight experience. Live in cabins, eat meals in the dining hall, enjoy campfires, evening programs and more.
Adventure Trips: Enjoy the camp experience while taking a trip with a specific activity focus. Campers spend two nights at camp, then leave for three nights on their trip, and return for the final night back at camp.
Specialty Camps: Our stand-alone options include Mini week (a 3-night session for our youngest campers), Parent + Me (for campers and their parents), and Leadership Development Program for high schoolers.

2022 camps will begin May 31! Summer Encounters is a day camp program in Greenville, SC. It hosts a comprehensive, diverse, and exciting collection of summer camps that provide meaningful opportunities for any child in grades K4 to 12. Summer Encounters programming offers 260 unique summer camps during 11 weeks, exploring content in academics, sports, art, drama, cooking, science, technology, and service learning. With a variety of day camp activities, extended day options, and schedules offered, the possibility of what your child can discover during the summer is as intriguing as it is convenient. Last year approximately 1000 campers from over 100 schools explored with us.

Dance Without Limits is excited to offer themed dance camps for ages 3-10 and six-week dance sessions for older students this summer! They offer half-day and full-day camp options. This year’s camp themes include:

WEEK LONG CAMPS
Noteability will host a themed morning (9am-12pm) and/or afternoon (1pm-4pm) camp each week (for 10 weeks) from June to August AT OUR GREER LOCATION. Campers can attend one (or both) camps and early drop off and late pick up are available. There is something for ALL LEVELS/ABILITIES! Ask about custom camps if you don’t see a perfect fit!
*If your child does not meet the age requirement, Noteability will consider exceptions on a case by case basis. Don’t see a camp on the week you need? Addition and Subtraction FUNdamentals Camp (Rising 1st Grade – Grade 3)

We will teach students to add and subtract using best-practice strategies to help end the finger-counting wars! Includes games, curriculum & snacks.
Multiply-Me-READY Camp (Rising 3rd Grade – Grade 5)
June 20–24 and July 18–22, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
We will teach students all their multiplication facts and best-practice strategies for MASTERY which goes beyond simple memorization of facts. Includes games, curriculum & snacks.
Kindergarten-Readiness Camp (For Rising K5)
June 27–July 1, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
We will teach students about numbers, counting, calendars with songs, stories and games. We will work on developing proper pencil/crayon grip habits with gross-motor as well as fine-motor projects and activities through play and fun crafts. Includes games, curriculum & snacks.
For ALL grade levels we offer TWO Summer Programs:
1) SUMMER EVERYDAY: A summer intensive meant to catch kids up
2) SUMMER 21: A summer maintenance plan to be sure and keep math skills sharp.

Asbury Hills is a summer camp and retreat center in the mountains of South Carolina. Our week long summer camp sessions serve rising second graders through rising seniors in high school. With over a dozen different sessions, there is sure to the perfect option for your schedule and camper. Some of our sessions are aquatic activity focused while others emphasize our high ropes elements. Is your camper interested in a little bit of both?! No problem! Our Core camp is perfect for campers who want both aquatic activities and high ropes or the first time camper. We also offer a half session for elementary aged campers who are not quite ready for a full week of camp. Are your children too young for a weeklong session? Year-Round Youth Learning Opportunities at Greenville Tech
Climbing Summer Camps are here! Sign your climber up for a week full of education, climbing activities, and fun games at BlocHaven, Greenville’s newest and largest rock climbing gym. No experience required.
Offers: Three day art classes for various skill levels, ages 5-16. Camps offered in June, July, and August.
Offers: Half day art camp includes projects such as clay sculpting, mosaics, painting with ceramics and canvas, and string art. Ages 6-14.

Offers: Half-, full-day, and overnight camps are offered throughout the summer. Intensive English instruction is student-centered, includes interaction with local teenagers, field trips, and homestays with local families. For 2nd – 11th grade.
Offers: Swords, leather-working, chainmail, theater, and more! This half-day camp looks at the art and war of the era of Beowulf. For ages 13-18.

Offers: Daily riding lesson or trail ride, educational horse activities like grooming, saddling, horse safety, healthcare, and feeding. Campers will also enjoy horsey arts & crafts, a Bible devotional, and a snack. For ages 6 – 14.

Offers: Week long course in a field of interest with a university instructor. Current Clemson students serve as mentors who guide Scholars through the week, sharing their unique Clemson stories along the way.
Offers: Half-day camps where students get to work with artists and local makers to learn or grow their artistic skills, push creative bounds, and become more familiar with using Makers tools. For ages 5 – 16.

Offers: Two-week overnight camp designed to inspire young space scientists. For grades 6th – 12th.

Offers: A summer basketball camp for rising 1st – 9th graders. Camp will be lead by Coach Janza Moore and Coach Jamar Armstrong, with assistance by current varsity players and guest coaches.

Offers: Christ-centered childcare that is safe and secure. Price includes 4 field trips a week, breakfast, lunch, and a snack.

Over the course of a fun-filled week at Clemson University YLI Headquarters in Pickens, SC, campers will test their creativity and problem-solving skills. This camp is for children aged 9 – 15.
2022 schedule: June 12th – July 22nd
Offers: Week-long camps that each offer a different skill level of climbing, including beginner weeks, intermediate/advanced weeks, and a mixed-skill level week. Each camp day is Monday through Friday from 12 – 4 pm.
Offers: For students interested in science and math, the Governor School for Science and Math offers CREATEng (rising 8th and 9th graders), and iTEAMS Extreme (rising 6th, 7th, and 9th graders) which will be hosted by Sterling School in Greenville this year. They also offer a week long SummerSTEM Virtual Camp (rising 6th to 10th graders). Day camp CREATEng (for rising 7th, 8th and 9th) and residential camp GoSciTech (rising 8th,9th,10th) are both held at their school campus in Hartsville.
Dates: Greenville, June 20 to 30; Virtual Camp, June 20 to July 22; Day and Residential Camp, from June 12 to July 1.
Offers: Campers will receive individual development, from basic skills, drills and full-court scrimmages to improve your overall game. Coached by Greenville High’s basketball head coach Mike Anderson. Camp is organized by US Sport Camps. Camps are held on a weekly basis for ages 9 to 15.

Sew Creative, the Upstate School for Sewing Arts, offers sewing workshops in June and July 5 days a week. Times are from 10 am – 12 pm or 1-3 pm.
Soft Hands Horseback Riding is offering partial day summer camps for children ages 7-17. Campers will learn about horseback riding safety, breeds, colors, tack, and more!
