Creek Detectives: Secrets of the Stream

Grab your sense of adventure and wade into Carrick Creek at Table Rock State Park! In this hands-on program, young explorers use nets to hunt for aquatic insects and other creek critters, then head into the nature classroom to study their finds under a microscope and learn how these tiny animals reveal the health of a mountain stream. Come ready to get wet—wear clothes and shoes for creek exploration (boots available to borrow). Pre-registration is required; meet at the Nature Center.
