June 25th, 2022 in Greer
Greer Freedom Blast will start at 6 pm with live music and activities and end at 10:30 pm with fireworks.

4th Annual Family, Fun, & Fireworks Celebration at Hartness

July 1st, 2022 at Greenville’s Hartness Community
Bring lawn chairs or blankets to Hartness’ Grand Lawn for their annual celebration of America’s birthday! There will be food trucks, music, games, and more. This event is from 6:30 to 9:30 pm and is capped off with a fireworks finale.

Independence Day Celebration in Fountain Inn

July 2nd, 2022 in Fountain Inn
Starting at 6 pm at the intersection of Main and Depot Streets, this Fireworks Spectacular includes a performance by Cravin Melon, food trucks, kids entertainment, and fireworks at dusk.

Kids’ Bike Parade at the Travelers Rest Farmers Market

July 2nd, 2022 in Travelers Rest
Dress up the bikes and the kids in their most festive red, white, and blue for the
Kids’ Bike Parade at the Travelers Rest Farmers Market. The event is at Trailblazer Park and starts at 9 a.m. Awards will be given to the Most Patriotic and the Most Creative.

Red, White, & Blue Ridge Community Celebration

July 3rd, 2022 at Locust Hill Baptist Church
Locust Hill Baptist Church celebrates the 4th with a barbecue dinner, a concert featuring Glassy Mountain Band with Jacob Hudson, waterslides for kids, a photo booth, shaved ice & the best fireworks show in Blue Ridge! Event starts at 6 pm and fireworks are at 9:30 pm.

Celebrate Simpsonville

July 3rd, 2022 in Simpsonville
Celebrate Simpsonville will begin at 6 pm with live music and conclude with fireworks.

Mt Pisgah Baptist Church Freedom Celebration

July 3rd, 2022 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church
Join the celebration from 7-10 pm at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Easley.

Red, White, & Blue Picnic at Fluor Field

July 3rd, 2022 at Fluor Field starting at 5 pm
Your ticket gets you into the Greenville Drive game at Fluor Field and into the all-you-can-eat buffet. Watch the game and stay for the fireworks. Tickets start at $25.

Fireworks on the 4th at Unity Park

July 4th from 6 pm to 10 pm
Greenville’s 4th of July Celebration moves to Unity Park in 2022 with Fireworks on the 4th. This is not a large festival and food for purchase will be limited. It is recommended that families bring a picnic and enjoy time in the park.

O’Neal Church of God Celebration

July 4th from 6pm – 10 pm
The annual event will take place at O’Neal Church of God at 3723 Highway 101 in Greer and will include a watermelon eating contest, water balloon toss, and fireworks. Donations appreciated.

4th of July Parade at Clare’s Creamery

July 4th from 9-11 am
Decorate your bike or wagon to win a prize at this family-friendly event at Clare’s Creamery in Greenville.

The City of Spartanburg will host Red, White, and Boom at Barnet Park on July 4 from 6-10 pm fireworks at 9:30 pm.

Historic Easley 4th of July Festival

July 2nd-4th, 2022 in Easley
The annual festival will include three days of fun and end with fireworks, which will start at 9:30 pm. You can see the fireworks within one mile of downtown Easley.

July 4th, 2022
Celebrate the 4th of July in Pickens from 6-10 pm with kids’ rides, food vendors, live music, and fireworks.

Hillbilly Day

July 4th, 2022 in Mountain Rest
No fireworks but this annual tradition of Hillbilly Day is quite famous in the area and happens on July 4th from 9 am – 3 pm. There are arts & crafts, music, food, clogging, and historic demonstrations. It’s free but donations are accepted. Bring your own chairs.

4th of July Celebration at Big Water Marina in Anderson

July 2nd, 2022 in Starr, SC
The party happens at the Big Water Marina and starts at 11 am and concludes with fireworks after dark. The celebration is over Lake Hartwell and includes live music, food trucks, and other entertainment.

4th of July Celebration

July 4th, 2022 in Seneca
The 4th of July Celebration in Seneca at Gignilliat Field will open the gates at 2 pm with live music. No pets or coolers are allowed; food and beverage are available for purchase. Fireworks start at 9:30 pm.

4th of July parade in Hendersonville, NC 10:30 am to 11 am
Live Music and fireworks from 5 pm to 10 pm: Located about an hour north of Greenville, Hendersonville celebrates the 4th with two stages of music, bounce houses, kids games and activities, food trucks, and more. The event begins at 5 pm and fireworks start at 9:15 pm. The fireworks can be viewed from downtown Hendersonville and the south side of town near the intersection of Hwy. 225 South and Hwy. 176.

Independence Day Celebration at Lake Julian

July 4th, 2022 in Arden, NC
About an hour and 15 minutes north of Greenville, Arden’s Lake Julian welcomes visitors for a day that includes FREE fishing, as part of North Carolina’s Free Fishing Day. Lake Julian Park also has disc golf, cornhole, sand volleyball, playgrounds, fitness courses, horseshoes, and a boat launch. The day will be capped off with fireworks at 9:15 pm. Visitors should arrive no later than 7:45 p.m. to find park and enter the park. Be sure to check the event website for parking and fee information before you go.

2022 Independence Day Celebration in Brevard

July 4th, 2022 in Brevard, NC
Lots of family fun all day from 10 am – 5 pm with late night fireworks in Brevard, NC (if you need a break amongst the festivities, be sure to go to Looking Glass Falls on 276 or the short hike to Moore Cove Falls just up the road). Rocky’s Soda Shop will have a hot dog eating contest at 4pm ($10 entry). There will be a bike parade as well. Fireworks will happen around 9:39 pm. Full schedule at the website.

Alternative Ways to Spend the Patriotic Holiday

Revolutionary War Battlefields Near Upstate, SC

For a history lesson pertaining to the holiday, there are a couple of nearby Revolutionary War Battlefields you can visit with your family. These locations offer hiking, and an opportunity to walk through battlefields with signage describing the battle that occurred.

Battlefield Hike at Musgrove Mill State Historic Site: The Revolutionary War battle at Musgrove Mill was an important turning point in the SC backcountry area. Visitors to the park can enjoy hiking trails, a waterfall and learn the history of the mill. FREE with a South Carolina State Park Passport

Musgrove Mill Battlefield

Also, check out the Revolutionary War battlefield at King’s Mountain. There you can hike through the battlefield of a Patriot victory and a turning point for the southern campaign.

Glow Golf

You can play golf at night at Takeoff Mini-Golf next to Runway Park July 1, 2, and 3 from 8-11 pm. They will have a DJ and food truck on Saturday night, July 2, and LED light up golf balls, glow bracelets, and glow sticks all three days.

What happened with Furman?? They usually have a great show of Fireworks and a Symphony playing at the same time!! Are they not doing it this year??
