Creek Adventure
Join Ranger Madison for a one-mile hike (Mountain Creek Trail) and a creek adventure as you explore the vibrant world of water-dwelling creatures! You’ll follow the creek and pond edges in search of frogs, fish, aquatic insects, and even tiny critters hiding under rocks. Along the way, we’ll discover how these amazing animals are adapted to life in or near water. After the hike, you’ll take a closer look at some of these creatures using real microscopes, learning what makes them so special in this hands-on nature adventure. Be sure to bring shoes that can get wet (or borrow some from the park), as you’ll be getting into the creek during the exploration. Meet at the Picnic Flats Parking Lot (first parking lot on the left) All ages welcome (Children must be accompanied by an adult) Limit: 25 participants
