Half Day Art Camp: Pollinator Party
Celebrate the burst of spring with Pollinator Party, a hands-on morning of color, texture, and nature-themed making. Campers begin the day with a guided technique — symmetrical marbled butterflies created by painting one side of heavy paper, folding to reveal mirrored wings, and adding salt, spritz, and straw-blown marks — then move through five playful studio stations to explore honeycomb printing, petal rubbings and natural collage, clay pollinators, a scent-and-seed bar, and a sparkle finishing table. After a snack and recess, kids return for a full hour of open-ended studio time to trim and decorate their butterflies, combine techniques, and create small keepsakes — finishing the morning with a cheerful gallery walk.
