Planning to enjoy a farm and stay through lunch? In addition to many other activities and attractions, these farms offer picnic space, so you can bring your own lunch and stay for the afternoon!
This 900-acre farm located just north of I-85 between Anderson and Clemson boasts one of the largest corn mazes in the southeast. In addition to the maze, they offer a wide assortment of activities including play areas, farm animals and a u-pick pumpkin patch. The activities are all covered under one admission price. Denver Downs Farm is open daily late September through mid-November.

Located in beautiful Hendersonville with views of the mountains, Pilot Mountain Pears is the only dedicated Asian pear orchard in the area. They have more than 5,000 Asian pear trees and will open in 2025 for their fifth u-pick season. Check the Pilot Mountain Pears Facebook page for current u-pick status, before heading up.

Thompson Family Farms in Campobello offers upick tulips in March and pick your own pumpkins in the fall, a fall cut flower garden, a sunflower maze, photo opportunities, and more in September & October.
Pumpkins are pick your own and are precut from the vine in the fields to ensure ripeness.

Admission: $8 admission for ages 12 and older. 11 and under free

In Hendersonville, this little farm stand has a lot to offer. In addition to a farm store with apples, produce and prepicked pumpkins, kids can enjoy the small field with games and chickens to visit. The field also has tractors to look at and pumpkins.
You’ll see J&M if you’re headed to Linda’s Plants & Shrubs on Chimney Rock Road. Check out the food trucks and make a pit stop for lunch!
J&M also has a patio with a fireplace, outdoor tv, beverages to purchase, and sometimes even food trucks. On the day we visited, they were also doing a wine tasting of local wines.
