Each student’s program is built specifically for them, with certified teachers who specialize in their subjects and stick with the same student every class. We serve kindergarten through adults, including specialized support for autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, ODD, Down syndrome, and more. If your child is struggling, check us out! • Do you work with special needs students? Absolutely. Shining Stars specializes in autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, ODD, Down syndrome, and more, including social skills classes for special needs kids and adults, and parent classes for behavior management.
• What does it cost? Pricing depends on the program. Tutoring is available hourly, Microschool (morning homeschool classes) is available on a weekly pay basis, and life skills and cooking classes for special needs teens and adults are also available hourly.

Vetward offers an early start into veterinary medicine by providing a unique, exciting opportunity for kids and teens aged 12-18 (with some age exceptions on case-by-case basis) that are interested in veterinary science.

Classes provide real-world, hands-on, technical veterinary instruction and skill-building that kids and teens might typically be too young to experience. Therefore, providing a real advantage in the competitive field of veterinary medicine.

Example class content:

• Proper animal restraint methods (how to safely hold animals for different procedures)
• Assessing vital signs (heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, hydration)
• Basic stethoscope use
• Bandaging techniques
• Performing routine diagnostic tests
• Making and reading microscope samples (cytology)
• Suturing techniques
• Syringe and medication handling skills
• Administering injections
• Pharmaceutical math (how to calculate medications)
• Venipuncture (drawing blood samples)
• Placing IV catheters

Offers: Bi-weekly French courses and Monthly French club

French courses: children are grouped based on French-language skill level.
Ages: 1st grade through 5th grade

French Club: Saturdays, once per month

Children will enjoy activities, games, workshops, and more with instructor Claire Rouvery.

Offers: Offers classes in German as a foreign language and as a heritage language. Ages 5 and up. Locations are at Simpsonville’s Holland Park Church and Spartanburg Day School.
