Posted on | No Comments

Have you been hoping to get some new library books from Spartanburg libraries? Spartanburg residents have been patiently waiting for when the library would be ready to re-open. The library has been slowly opening back up to patrons in a limited capacity, and all branch locations are open right now.

Accessing Books And Other Materials at the Spartanburg Library Branch Locations

Beginning August 1st, SPLS hours will be changing at all the locations. The hours will change to:
Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

All Library branches will offer express internet services and free printing. Patrons are asked to practice social distancing. Masks are encouraged by the library system.

At the Headquarters library, the Kennedy Room for local history and genealogy services, notary services will be available by appointment only.

If you would like to access materials with minimal time in the library, you can still utilize the online hold system. Patrons will need to just go inside to pick up their holds. Books can be placed on hold through the online catalog or by phone. Once your items are ready to be picked up, you will receive a message by text, email, or phone.

If you find yourself needing help placing holds on materials, or just have a general question, library staff will be on hand to answer phone calls.
