Children’s Consignment Sales

Upstate parents, mark your calendars and get ready to shop till you drop! Friday kicks off spring consignment sale season in Greenville. If you’ve never attended one of these sales, take the time to check them out. You’ll be amazed at the selection and fabulous prices. You can stock up on next season’s wardrobe for your kids with gently used brand name clothing including labels like Old Navy, Polo, J. Crew, Baby Gap, and more. Some sales also offer equipment, toys, and furnishings. Most events include a half-price day toward the end of the sale when you can save even more money.

what is the schedule for switcheroos?

I’ve personally attended almost all of these sales, so I’ve added a few of my own observations about each one.

Switcheroos

Feb. 8 – 10
TD Convention Center
Friday, Feb. 8: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 9: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 10: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. *HALF PRICE*

Notes: Switcheroos is the biggest consignment sale in the area. If you’ve never attended, you’ll be blown away by the size and selection. Be prepared for long lines, though, as I have spent more than an hour waiting to check out when it’s busy. Go early on Friday for the best deals.

Upstate Moms of Multiples Consignment

Mar. 1 -2
Greenville First Baptist Church
Friday, Mar. 1: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday, Mar. 2: 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Notes: I attended Upstate Moms of Multiples for the first time last year. The sale was pretty small compared to some of the others. However, I still found several great items at good prices, and I was glad to support such a wonderful group.

Weecycled Wear

Mar. 8 – 10

TD Convention Center
Friday, Mar. 8: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Saturday, Mar. 9: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday, Mar. 10: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. *HALF PRICE*

Notes: Weecycled Wear offers special passes for early access to expecting moms, new moms, new adoptive parents, and new grandparents. Check the sale schedule page for exact dates and times. I have never personally been to this sale. Check it out and tell us what you think!

Here We Grow Again

Mar. 15 – 23
Augusta Heights Baptist Church
Friday, Mar. 15:  9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday, Mar. 16:  8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Monday, Mar. 18:  9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Mar. 19:  9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Mar. 20:  9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Thursday, Mar. 21:  9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday, Mar. 22:  9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday, Mar. 23:  8 a.m. – 2 p.m. *HALF PRICE*

Notes: I like Here We Grow Again better than Switcheroos because it’s not as huge. It has grown a lot since the first sale I attended and you’ll still find plenty of great selection and prices, but you won’t be so overwhelmed. Lines move a little quicker as well.

Trunk Treasures

Mar. 15 -24 (clothing only)
2830 Wade Hampton Blvd. Taylors, SC
Friday, Mar. 15: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Saturday, Mar. 16: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday, Mar. 17: 1:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Monday, Mar. 18: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Tuesday, Mar. 19: 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Mar. 20: CLOSED
Thursday, Mar. 21: CLOSED
Friday, Mar. 22: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday, Mar. 23: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. *HALF PRICE*
Sunday, Mar. 24: 1:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. *HALF PRICE*

Notes: Trunk Treasures offers three separate sales. This one is for baby clothing only. Their next sale, from April 19 – 28, offers adult clothing and baby toys and equipment. The third sale, from May 11 – May 19, offers home decor. I make Trunk Treasures an annual stop. Their selection is fantastic, prices reasonable, and shopping experience very manageable, even with kids in tow. We buy many of our kids’ Christmas presents at the toys and equipment sale in April.

I recommend that you choose one or two sales to attend rather than trying to hit them all. Maybe you just really love to shop, but I have found that trying to shop every sale leaves me drained and vowing not to buy kids’ clothes ever again.

Which sales have you attended? What did you think? Are there other sales you know of in the area? Let us know in the comments!
