Our top tips for planning your visit to the splash pad at Barnet Park?
- Visit with a buddy or, better yet, a group of friends. Barnet Park draws foot traffic from downtown, but has limited visibility from the main thoroughfares. Visiting in a group helps keep everyone safe.
- Bring toys, towels, and water shoes! Buckets and squirt guns are great options to enhance playtime at the splash pad, and you’ll definitely want towels for drying off afterwards. Water shoes protect little toes while playing, and they’re extra important when the pavement gets hot.
- Shade is limited, so consider sun hats or sunscreen. There is shaded seating surrounding the splash pad, but not on the splash pad itself. You can also take snack breaks in the shaded seating surrounding the splash pad if your kids need a break.
- Take a potty break before arrival. Public bathrooms are available at the park, but they are located at the opposite end and it takes a good walk to reach them.
