2025 Upstate Renaissance Faire Event Schedule
If your family could use an escape from reality, there’s no better place than the Upstate Renaissance Faire. The festival, now at the Piedmont Interstate Fairgrounds, will transport guests back to the time of knights, fair maidens, and sirens who lurk in the sea. The festival will be filled with fun events for the whole family. Don’t forget to plan your day to include a meal of giant turkey legs.
The schedule is totally packed and we will highlight some of what is happening below but you’re going to want to check out the whole schedule.
September 12th, 2025: 5 pm – 10 pm
The evening events will feature a plethora of dancing troupes, knight demonstrations, acrobats, fire shows, belly dancing, and so much more beginning at 5 pm. There will be court jesters, belly dancers, drum circles, and an awesome costume contest! You’ll also see dozens of performers and hands-on historic demonstrations.
September 13th, 2025: 10 am – 6 pm
September 14th, 2025: 10 am – 6 pm
Saturday is jammed-packed with entertainment. You will not want to miss the 12 pm parade throughout the fairgrounds. There will also be a Fairy Tea Party at 11 am, 2 pm, and 4 pm. You may also want to participate in the quest experiences, trinket trading, and practice your hand at ax-throwing before catching a sword duel in the Field of Glory.
Things to do With Kids during the 2025 Upstate Renaissance Faire
This children’s area will have activities ongoing throughout the event, mostly on Saturday and Sunday. Some of the children’s festivities will include:
- Prism the Bubble Fairy
- Gemstone mining
- Emit’s Petting Zoo
- Ashe’s Emporeum Sensory tent
- Fairy tea party
- Kids crafts
- Face painting
- Vendors
- Cotton Candy
- Caramel Apples
Throughout the faire, kids will pretty much enjoy all the activities, performers, and we highly recommend coming dressed in costume!
Tricket Trading
Yes, you can trinket trade at the Festival — and it’s one of the most whimsical ways to share the magic with fellow patrons! Think of it as a little treasure exchange: small, themed trinkets passed along as gifts or swapped for others. To keep the fun flowing (and safe for all), there are just a few guidelines. Please keep your trades limited to small-sized items only — nothing that could be mistaken for merchandise from our vendors or performers.
Trinkets are meant for trading with other trinkets, not for money, goods, or tips, so no selling, no tipping with trinkets, and no bartering with vendors.
Also, for safety’s sake, never hand trinkets directly to children; instead, offer them to the responsible adult with them so little ones stay safe from choking hazards. And remember, not everyone wants to join in the trading adventure, so always respect those who prefer to pass.
If these rules aren’t followed, staff may kindly ask you to pause your trading. Thank you for helping keep this quirky little tradition fun, safe, and magical for everyone!
