Acrosmith provided a class in order to provide this review.
My daughter doesn’t exactly have the best track record for participating in and sticking with an activity. We’ve tried dance. We’ve tried gymnastics (a few years ago, in another state). We’ve tried soccer. Note the key word is “tried” – as in past tense. Because each and every time she hasn’t enjoyed the activity and after a few weeks of fighting with her to get ready and out the door and then hardly participating once we finally got there, I allowed her to quit. Okay so perhaps this post should be about when it is okay to let your child quit something and when it is not, but it isn’t!
Our Experience at Acrosmith Gymnastics
So we decided to give it another go with gymnastics, now that she’s a little older and had expressed some interest. This time we tried Acrosmith Gymnastics – and finally we seem to have found an activity that she likes and actually wants to continue doing! And when I say “likes” what I mean is she asks me repeatedly if she has gymnastic class ‘today’. Repeatedly!
I can’t rave enough about Acrosmith Gymnastics. The classes are small – which has been one issue we’ve struggled with in the past. After all, being new to gymnastics means she needs help – lots of help! This class is small enough that one teacher can manage to give each child the help they need to learn the skills properly. And this is something I had heard about Acrosmith Gymnastics before visiting – the teachers are actually gymnasts and teach the children proper techniques. I’m no gymnast, nor do I have high expectations for my kid to be, but if she should decide gymnastics is her path in life then I’d like to know her earliest classes gave her the proper foundation. And on the topic of teachers, Miss Stacy is wonderful. Patient, kind, loving and fun – the kids in the class clearly adore her! In talking with other moms, I’m hearing just how much the kids adore her – some of the kids in the class have been taking gymnastics with Miss Stacy for several years!
So if you’re looking for a gymnastics home for your child I would highly recommend Acrosmith Gymnastics. In addition to gymnastics classes for all ages they also offer highly popular toddler play times. Click here to see the class and tot time schedule at Acrosmith!
