Art Around the World: Holiday Lights and Legends (Ages 4–6 – yes, we’re flexible on the upper age range)

In this special winter series, Lights & Legends, children will journey around the world to discover how people celebrate light, color, and community during the winter season. Through hands-on artmaking, sensory exploration, and storytelling, we’ll learn about holidays like Diwali, Hanukkah, and Swedish Yule—each one offering a spark of creativity and cultural connection.

Each week features:

• A short story or cultural folktale to inspire imagination
• An age-appropriate art project exploring new textures, materials, and techniques
• Gentle guidance and open-ended creativity that lets each child’s ideas shine

From glowing lanterns to shimmering prints, Mini Makers invites young artists to experiment, make meaningful messes, and celebrate the joy of creating together.
