Looking for a park with a rubber playground surface near Greenville, SC?
Several years ago, I took my boys to a park to celebrate my sister’s birthday. My older two ran around happily as we ate cake and my sister opened presents. It was great, except for my baby who wasn’t walking yet. Every 5 seconds, I had to grab a piece of mulch out of his tight grasp before he used it as a teething ring. Mulch is also challenging for strollers or wagons. If only you knew what surface was under the playgrounds. Now you do!
Home to the Greenville County Parks & Rec office, you will find a fully-accessible, sunny playground beside a preschool playground and lots of swings at the entrance off Old Spartanburg. If you go in the Scottswood entrance, you’ll find an enclosed, sunny playground with swings, a sandbox, and a grassy space. With a dog park, tennis courts, paved trail, and even an ice rink and bounce house inside, you will find something for everyone to love.
With water fountains, bench swings, a paved trail going around the pond, and even a music-timed fountain, your children will want to do even more than play at the playground.
