YMCA of Greenville Summer Day Camp

Day Camp at the YMCA of Greenville is a great place for children and teens to start finding magic in the adventure! We are excited to have your camper experience a fun-filled, exciting summer!

It is important that your child has a wonderful “first”, “second”…or “seventh” camp experience. The YMCA of Greenville’s goal is to create an atmosphere of trust and friendship so that each camper will feel happy and confident at camp. Campers’ activities include but are not limited to: assemblies, choice activities based on weekly themes, skits, stories, arts & crafts, fitness activities, relays, character development, academic enrichment and counselor huddle times.

The YMCA of Greenville camp program is progressively structured to challenge children according to their age. Camp programming is planned to give children an introduction to a wide variety of camp activities, along with providing them the opportunity for creative expression.

Summer Day Camp is offered at Caine Halter Family YMCA (Greenville), Eastside Family YMCA (Taylors), George I. Theisen Family YMCA (Travelers Rest), Judson Community Center (Greenville) and Prisma Health Family YMCA (Simpsonville).

Financial assistance is available for most camps.

Shipshape Farm summer camps are an opportunity to get outside, learn about animals and care for them (we have goats, chickens, dogs, a cat named Taffy, and a duck named Donald), play games, dig in the dirt, and just have an all-around old-fashioned good time!

If you would like your kiddo to enjoy tech free play in the sunshine – Shipshape Farm is the place for you! This year, our camps will be going through different Children’s classic books, (Like Heidi, Treasure Island, Charlotte’s Web, etc.).

Summer Camp registration opens IN PERSON at the open house on March 30th, and online on April 1.

We also offer Farm School classes for preschool and homeschoolers throughout the school year. Through our classes and camps, we seek to encourage curiosity, community, and creativity within the farm landscape.

Our facilities are available to rent for gatherings and birthday parties, we would love to help turn your moments into memories. Every day is a good day at Shipshape farm!

Powered by fun, exploration, and adventure, it’s everything that summer should be about! At Legendary Summer Camp, there’s always something new to experience, and no two days are the same.

Explore the earth under our feet, physics of flight, the wonders of water, journey to space, the science around us, and so much more!

Offers: Summer Maker Days camps and multi-day summer camps available for ages 5 – 11, with summer intern options for ages 12 -15.

Offers: Volleyball camp for All Skills camp and Elite Camp. Each camp has varying age requirements. Camp will be hosted at Alley Gym at Furman University

Elite Camp: July 12th-13th, 2024
Friday 12:30 pm – 8: 30pm; Saturday 9 am – 4 pm (check-in at 9 am on Friday)
For rising 9th- 12th grade (girls camp)
Elite campers will stay overnight and will have 1 on 1 time with Furman staff to sharpen their skills.
Registration is open. Cost: $300.00

All Skills Camp: July 8th – 11th, 2024
9 am – 3 pm each day (check in at 8:30 am)
For rising 6th – 9th grade (girls and boys camp)
Registration is open. Cost: $300

Offers: Summer Day Camp offers a variety of activities like arts, crafts, sports, field trips, and special events for rising 1st – 6th graders. Day Camps are offered at seven different community centers across the county, with Tennis Camp at the Pavilion in Taylors, SC.

Camps run from June 1st, 2024 – August 12th, 2024 (depending on camp chosen)

Falling Creek is a Christian summer camp for boys, located on 900+ private acres in western North Carolina. 1-4 week sessions for rising 1st-12th graders.

2024 registration is now open for both summer camp and family camp.
