Meet the Mom Behind KidZland
KidZland’s owner is Brandi Manley, a South Carolina native. She was born in Columbia, went to school in Charleston, and eventually landed in Greenville. She has one son, and he’s a big part of why KidZland exists.
Brandi works as an events manager at Group Therapy Pub & Playground in Greenville, so planning really is her expertise. KidZland is no different. She has meticulously laid out her vision, and it’s amazing. She has a tight knit group of friends and they all wanted the same thing: something custom for kids of different ages, close to Greenville, and thoughtfully laid out. This is it.
KidZland has been in the works for more than three years, and finding the right space was the hard part. After looking all over, Brandi was introduced to Liberty Lane two years ago, and that’s where KidZland is landing. She is literally building out the entire space around her vision.
Two Separate Play Areas (Because Big Kids and Toddlers Need Their Own Space)
It’s crucial big and little kids have their own spaces and that was high on Brandi’s wish list. KidZland’s 7,000 square feet are split into two huge, separate play areas, so your 2-year-old isn’t getting steamrolled by a 10-year-old on a sugar high. The toddler area sits on the opposite side of the space from the big kids, and both are designed so parents can easily see their kids.
The Big Kid Zone
- A Nerf gun area
- Slides
- A building block play area
The Toddler Zone
- A little ball pit
- Slides sized for smaller kids
- Seats for parents, so you can sit close by
KidZland will also have an arcade because who doesn’t like playing games to get a squishy toy or giant stuffed animal. Brandi really wants kids and their families to have a great time with each other and create that space where they can play and have fun.
Tip: Bringing two different age groups? With the toddler area on the other side of the space and sightlines built in for parents, you can let everyone play in their own zone without losing track of anybody.
