Camp Griffin brings the spirit of Spartanburg Day School to life each summer through immersive, hands-on experiences designed for campers ages 2 through rising 9th grade. Open to families across the Upstate, Camp Griffin offers nine weeks of dynamic programming that encourages campers to explore new interests, create boldly and expand their thinking through meaningful, real-world experiences.

Led by SDS instructors and coaches, each camp is built around the philosophy of Learning Lived, helping children grow in curiosity, confidence and skill while having an unforgettable summer.

With a wide variety of themed camps each week, families can customize their child’s experience to match their interests and schedule. Camp Griffin also makes summer simple and stress-free with one convenient drop-off and pick-up location, lunch and snacks included, flexible scheduling options, and accessible pricing.

S4 Summer Camp is an organized, high-energy camp experience for rising 1st–5th graders designed to keep kids active, engaged, and confident all summer.

At S4, every camper joins a team for the week — Red Team, Blue Team, Green Team, or Yellow Team. Teams compete in structured camp games, challenges, and competitions while earning points toward the S4 Championship Trophy.

Each day follows a clear plan designed to keep energy high and every camper involved. Kids play classic camp games like Capture the Flag, Tag, Jump Test, and many other S4 favorites while building friendships and team pride.

What makes The S4 Experience different is our focus on organization, positive competition, and coaches who stay fully engaged with every camper. Every child is seen, encouraged, and included.

Campers enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor activities so they can stay active while also having time to cool off in our air-conditioned facility.

Camps run Monday–Friday throughout June and into July, and families can register for one week or multiple weeks.

Hidden Pasture Unicorn Farm Summer Camps are back with multiple flexible options in June and July for ages 7–11, perfect for boys and girls who love animals, outdoor play, and a little magic. Campers enjoy hands-on farm life with goats, bunnies, an alpaca, and of course unicorns, plus pony rides, crafts, sports, games, bounce house fun, and ice cream treats—all rain or shine.

FURMAN UNIVERSITY SOCCER CAMPS
Looking for a fun, active, and skill-building summer experience for your soccer player? Furman Soccer Camps offer an exciting opportunity for players of all ages and skill levels to train on the beautiful Furman University campus while experiencing a high-energy, collegiate-level environment.

Led by Furman’s coaching staff, along with top coaches in the region and experienced players, each camp blends expert instruction with competitive games and engaging training sessions. Led by teachers specially trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach, Camp Creekside offers multisensory instruction in reading, writing, and math. With a camp-wide 5:1 student-to-teacher ratio, learning feels supportive and approachable as campers strengthen skills, build confidence, and experience success.

Mornings focus on academics, while afternoons shift into engaging activities and outdoor fun. Weekly themes add to the excitement, with past favorites like Water World, Stroke of Art, Sports Spectacular, and STEM-tastic adventures.

Camperdown Academy is a school that specializes in successfully helping children who struggle with language-based learning differences. Camp Creekside does not require that your child have a documented diagnosis of dyslexia.

All camp activities take place on the 10-acre campus in the heart of the Verdae community near downtown Greenville.

Camp Creekside is a five-week adventure designed to deliver academic results. Dates are June 8 – July 17 with no camp the week prior to July 4. Camp runs from 9am-3:30pm weekdays with an optional 8am early arrival. Cost breaks down to $400 per week.

This immersive 4-day aviation experience includes hands-on seminars, ground school lessons, aviation activities, and workshops on basic restoration skills. The highlight? A flight opportunity in one of the Triple Tree Aircraft!

Camps are divided into Radio Control Camps (for rising middle schoolers) and General Aviation Camps (for rising high schoolers), ensuring age-appropriate learning and engagement. A two-week intensive Mandarin language and culture camp at Wofford. This camp program is free; however, you must apply and be accepted into the competitive program. They only accept 45 of the many 6th-12th grade applicants. See their webpage for more details and to apply.

Offers full day summer day camp at all three branches of the YMCA Easley, Pickens, and Powdersville. Along with games and activities, day campers will enjoy an age-appropriate and high-quality summer experience.

Education and Field Trips: Hagood Mill offers tours of the 176-year-old mill, the Hagood Creek Petroglyph Site, blacksmith shop, and moonshine still. Children may watch demonstrations by local artisans, participate in hands-on activities, and experience workshops. There are several field trip options including one-day or multi-day trips, traveling field trip shows, and virtual field trips.

STEM Day Camp is for incoming 9th – 12th grade students.
All activities will challenge students to apply STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) topics to real-world situations.
Activities may include rocket launching, drone aerodynamics, programming rovers, engineering with dominoes, 3D printing, crime scene analysis, and analyzing chemical reactions.

Offers: Christ-centered childcare that is safe and secure. Price includes field trips.

Field Trips & School Programs: The South Carolina Botanical Garden at Clemson offers 45-60 minute school programs intended to support your curriculum and grade level. Homeschool groups can visit as well. Fee is $5 per student. They also offer classes that are perfect for homeschooling families.

We are a karate school teaching Okinawa Kenpo and ishinryu, and after-school care.

After school: They offer activities, homework help, and a snack. They do offer after-school transportation.
Cost: $85 per week

Offers: Campers will receive individual development, from basic skills, drills and full-court scrimmages to improve your overall game.
Coached by Greenville High’s basketball head coach Mike Anderson.
The camp is organized by US Sports Camps.

Learn to play volleyball with the Wofford Terriers! Camp will run from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday – Thursday.

Players will begin each day with skill sessions and progress into combination drills.
Campers will also be introduced to agility work, as well as speed drills.
Players will be grouped according to experience and/or age.
Camp is recommended for ages 4-14.

This camp focuses on building motivation, teamwork, self-discipline, and community during a fun recreational and educational summer camp in memory of Officer Allen Jacobs.

Camp is for rising 5th and 6th-graders.
Camp is free, space is limited.

SC School for the Deaf and Blind has a free one-week summer camp for any child between the ages of 6-14 with visual or hearing impairment in the state of South Carolina. There are both a day camp option and a residential option.

The Girls Scouts of South Carolina- Mountains to Midlands offers programs to girls scouts of all abilities and backgrounds.

They offer special events, camps, cookie sales, and so much more! Upstate, SC troops are available for ages Kindergarten and up.
