Presidents’ Day Camps in Greenville
Need child care on Presidents’ Day? The kids have the day off, but not everyone does. Several local venues are offering day camp on this day off of school, plus there are a couple drop-in child care options.

Join TCMU-Greenville while school is out for Presidents’ Day Camp! They will also be open to the public on February 17th, 2025 (typically, they are closed on Monday).
Yellowbobbypins Half Day Art Camp
Slime, Scarves, and Selfies Camp
Monday, February 17, 2025
Ages 5 – 11 years old
Join Yellowbobbypins for a half day camp featuring lots of gooey hot cocoa themed slime! Campers will also create a self portrait, enjoy snack time, and hands on playtime.
Camp is from 9 am – 12 pm, and is $50 per child (5% sibling discount)
The camp currently has a waitlist.
South Carolina Children’s Theatre Workshops
Presidents Day Workshop and Family Workshop
Monday, February 17th, 2025
SCCT will host two different workshops this Presidents’ Day, including a drop off workshop for kids from 9 am – 3 pm, and a Family Workshop. During the Family Workshop, kids and parents will get to enjoy all of the imaginative activities together!
The drop off camp from 9 am – 3 pm will be $60 per child. Family Workshop is $30 and is a one hour camp.
Roller Time Family Skate Center
Presidents’ Day Skate Camp
Monday, February 17th, 2025
Roller Time is hosting a Skate Camp this Presidents’ Day! This is a great way for your kids to learn to skate.
Drop In Childcare
If you need childcare on Monday, Giggles (two locations – Pelham Rd and Augusta Rd) will be open.
Things to do on Presidents’ Day
Snow Tubing (or Skiing)
If you don’t have to work and would love to take your kids on a fun adventure, try snow tubing. Ski Sapphire Valley in Cashiers, NC is open on Presidents’ Day (weather permitting) (learn all about it here – we just went!). Moonshine Mountain near Hendersonville, NC is also open. Outhouse Races
This is by far the most underrated thing on our list here because it’s amazing. The Great Outhouse Races happen at the Sapphire Valley Resort on Saturday, February 15th. You can watch outhouses on skis race down a mountain. Definitely check the resort’s social media or call them before you go because the event is weather-dependent.
Greenville Library
Greenville Library is open on Monday for Presidents’ Day. There are plenty of story times and kid spaces to hang out and read or play.
Go Roller Skating
Roller Time Family Time Skate Center in Easley is having Open Skate from1 pm- 3pm on Monday. Cost is $6 plus skate rental.
Roller Sports in Taylors will also have an open skate for school being out. Open skate is from 10 am – 3 pm.
Also, don’t forget our massive list of places to play indoors. Many spots such as trampoline parks and bounce houses will be open on the holiday.
Acrosmith Gymnastics
Family Fun Gym
Acrosmith Gymnastics in Simpsonville will have Family Fun Gym on Monday, February 17th, 2025 at 9 am, 10:15 am, or 11 am. You’re kids will get an hour of playtime in the gym, using all of the equipment they want.
Kids Play & Cafe in Easley
Need to take the kids to play sometime while you get some work done. Kids Play & Cafe in Easley is a great place to let the kids run around (and climb, slide, and play dress up!) while you work. They have a special “Storytime with CoCo” event happening that day too!
Head to a Hockey Game
The Greenville Swamp Rabbits Hockey will have their Hockey Heritage Night on Presidents’ Day!
Judson Mill Play Cafe
The Judson Mill Play Cafe is open from 10 am – 7 pm on Presidents’ Day, so you can bring the kids, let them play, snack on pizza, and get some work done while they tire themselves out.
