Are you planning to celebrate the berry season with a berry festival near Upstate, SC? What better item to celebrate with a festival than the juicy, sweet berry?

Strawberries, Blueberries, and Blackberries are celebrated nationwide; luckily, we have a handful of festivals that are accessible to the Upstate! We’ve even got a few that are celebrated right here in the Greenville, SC area. South Carolina Berry Festivals

South Carolina Strawberry Festival

The list of activities at the annual South Carolina Strawberry Festival includes a pageant, a golf tournament, rides, pig races, eating contests, and so much more! 

Date: Friday, May 6, 2022- Saturday, May 7, 2022.
April 29- May 5 will have berry-themed festivities preceding the actual 13th Annual Festival from May 6-May 7, 2022!
Admission: Free to enter the festival, parking with a fee

Blueberry Festival at RMSC

A 2022 date has yet to be announced by The Roper Mountain Science Center.

Date: July 2022 – Unconfirmed
Admission: Open to the public with admission fee / Free for members
Roper Mountain Science Center, Greenville
Includes: Educational and blueberry-themed activities, demonstrations in the Living History Farm, entrance to Roper Mountain Science Center including the Butterfly Adventure

North Carolina Blueberry Festival

If you hop in your car and head east towards the coast, you will wind up in Burgaw, North Carolina. Home to the NC Blueberry Festival. If you are planning a trip out to Wilmington for some vitamin sea, this is a great excursion during your trip!
