When we polled readers there were two clear favorites that were top contenders for best BBQ near Greenville: Mike and Jeff’s BBQ and Henry’s Smokehouse were tied for the most favorite, and we couldn’t agree more. Bobby’s and Smokey Dreams were coming in for close runners-up.
There was a resounding consensus for Mike and Jeff’s BBQ being one of the best places near Greenville to grab BBQ.
Mike & Jeff’s hands down! He cooks it old school on homemade smokers and the meats are so amazing that you don’t even need sauce. The chicken breasts are smoked still on the bone to maintain moisture and then hand pulled, all of the sides are made from scratch unlike several other BBQ places around Greenville that use frozen premade sides.Tanya Lynn

Henry’s Smokehouse is another great spot for grabbing some drool-worthy BBQ in Greenville. With locations in Greenville and Simpsonville, this little place gets great reviews for its BBQ sandwiches, mac and cheese, banana pudding and sweet potato casserole.
