Idlehurst is a working farm built around purposeful living, hands-on learning, and meaningful connection. Every day on the farm is shaped by real work, caring for animals, stewarding land, and teaching skills that matter. From raising grass-fed and finished beef, pasture-raised pork, and exhibition poultry to caring for horses and livestock, Idlehurst is an active agricultural operation, not a backdrop.

Alongside the farm, Idlehurst offers a homeschool learning collective led by certified teachers. Our program blends core academics with outdoor, experiential learning, allowing children to learn at a developmentally appropriate pace while building independence, confidence, and responsibility. Education at Idlehurst is rooted in movement, curiosity, and real-world application.

Through the Idlehurst Foundation, we provide equine-centered therapeutic services and sensory-friendly programming designed to support emotional regulation, confidence, and connection. We also offer beginner horseback riding lessons, creating a safe and supportive introduction to horsemanship that emphasizes foundational riding skills, animal care, and respect.
