The Children’s Museum of the Upstate, with locations in both Greenville and Spartanburg, is THE go-to family destination for indoor exploration! TCMU-Greenville offers 23 unique exhibits focused on programming areas such as arts, humanities, sciences, health, nutrition, the environment and community engagement. TCMU’s downtown Spartanburg location houses 6,000 square feet of exhibits designed to support children ages birth to 6, with a focus on early childhood development and Kindergarten readiness.

SCCT is the largest children’s theatre in South Carolina and serves over 30,000 children and their families annually through performances and special events, theatre classes, on-site residencies, school tours, and outreach programs. SCCT recently opened its brand-new theatre facility in downtown Greenville, and envisions a community where ALL children experience the transformational impact of theatre, which nourishes creativity, grows empathy, and inspires confidence.

Hockey is back in the Upstate and we’re throwing a massive party to celebrate. Plaza party, “Hoppy” Hour with specials, inflatables, facepainting, balloon animals, live music and more! The party starts at 4 p.m. The first 1,500 fans will get a rally towel presented by Bon Secours St. Francis.

Halloween Weekend

Ghouls, goblins and Count Stompula await you! The ice isn’t the only thing that will be chilling on this weekend…End your night with hockey. Costumes are encouraged both Friday and Saturday nights. The best costumes will be selected for a between-periods costume contest.

The Force awakens at The Well on Saturday, November 8! All things Star Wars take over the arena for one night only. Special themed game entertainment and characters from across the galaxy await.

Teddy Bear Toss presented by Swamp Rabbit Moving

It’s the Game of the Year! Get ready to toss those teddies at one of the most unique hockey games you’ll ever attend. When the Swamp Rabbits score their first goal, it’s time to let the stuffed animals fly. Each stuffed animal will be donated to various child-based causes around the Upstate.

New Year’s Eve presented by Armada Law

Greenville’s biggest and best family-friendly New Year’s celebration kicks off at 6 p.m. on December 31. Postgame indoor fireworks will light up the arena as the Swamp Rabbits ring in 2026.

Stomper’s Birthday presented by Big Air

At the Sigal Music Museum, explore the exciting world of music through exhibitions, concerts, and music classes for both children & adults.

There’s usually one traveling exhibit that’s perfect for kids, and the rest of the museum has lots of audio, video, and hands-on sections of exhibits that the whole family will enjoy. ReCraft GVL is a creative reuse center for all things that can be used for crafting!
The center offers reuse retail, a Makerspace to make crafts, a donation station, special events, and special programs.
ReCraft works to repurpose and upcycle reusable materials by diverting these materials that would ultimately end up in landfills back into the retail environment in a creative way.

The Judson Mill Play Cafe is a 14,500 square feet indoor playground and cafe combo.

Birthday Parties: Parties at Palmetto Gymnastics include gym time and time for refreshments. Various packages are available for both structured gym time and non-structured gym time, ninja course, tumble track, and more, depending on your preferences.

The Treehouse Cafe and Studio offers sandwiches, sides, coffee and treats with toys, coloring, painting and crafts for children and families. An art teacher is available to work with your child on crafts and painting projects you can purchase at the studio.
