Challenge Island offers summer camp programs that are based on important STEM/STEAM principles, but centered on themes kids love. Join us for an action-packed ten weeks of Summer Camp!

Our all-day camps run from May 28th until August 2nd, with our days spanning from 7am to 6:30 pm.

We welcome children ages 5 to rising 8th graders.

Together we’ll explore a variety of opportunities, take field trips, learn Taekwondo, and grow into confident leaders. Here at Greenville Martial Arts Center we limit screen time and focus heavily on play, creativity, and our core Tenets; Courtesy, Integrity, Self-Control, Indomitable Spirit, Perseverance, and Loyalty.

Camp Griffin: The Ultimate Summer Experience!

Camp Griffin is where adventure, creativity, and fun come together for an unforgettable summer! Running from May 27 – August 1, 2025, our camp offers a dynamic selection of programs designed to engage and inspire campers of all interests. With options in sports, arts, STEM, outdoor exploration, culinary experiences, and more, there’s something for everyone.

Each week features exciting specialty camps led by experienced instructors who create a supportive and engaging environment. Campers can discover new passions, build confidence, make lasting friendships, and have a blast while learning new skills. Whether they’re mastering a new sport, experimenting in a science lab, hiking through the outdoors, or creating in the kitchen, every day at Camp Griffin is designed to be an adventure.

With both half-day and full-day options available, families can choose the schedule that works best for them. Weekly themed Griffin Games Fridays bring all campers together for camp-wide activities, adding an extra layer of excitement.

We’re excited to host another great summer at Roper Mountain Science Center, the home to more than 100 week-long half- and full-day camps for children in completed grades K4 through 9. Our hands-on activity-based educational Summer Explorations Camps mix a wide variety of fun in a wide range of topics. With selections of old favorites and new offerings from art to animals, pop culture to physics, lots and lots of Legos, and, of course, science for all ages, there is truly something for everyone at Roper Mountain. Take flight this summer at Triple Tree Aerodrome with ACE Summer Camps! This immersive 4-day aviation experience includes hands-on seminars, ground school lessons, aviation activities, and workshops on basic restoration skills. The highlight? A flight opportunity in one of the Triple Tree Aircraft!

Camps are divided into Radio Control Camps (for rising middle schoolers) and General Aviation Camps (for rising high schoolers), ensuring age-appropriate learning and engagement. With small class sizes capped at eight participants, each camper receives personalized instruction from certified teachers and aviation professionals.

Hatcher Garden Discovery Camp offers children a fun, educational experience, with hands-on activities, exploring plants, animals, and nature through interactive learning.

Camp Invention is a STEM Summer camp program happening in all 50 states encouraging students to find and solve problems while building confidence. There are locations near Greenville, SC. Camps are one-week long, full-day camps.

Field Trips & School Programs: The South Carolina Botanical Garden at Clemson offers 45-60 minute school programs intended to support your curriculum and grade level. Homeschool groups can visit as well. Fee is $5 per student. They also offer classes that are perfect for homeschooling families.

PARI Summer Campers will enjoy rocketry, engineering, astrophysics, biology, adventure, and fun in the beautiful Pisgah Forest region.

2025 PARI Summer Camp registration is open!

Over a fun-filled week at  YLI Headquarters in Pickens, SC, campers will test their creativity and problem-solving skills. This camp is for children aged 9 – 15.

Camps are overnight, week-long, and begin June 8th, 2025-August 1st, 2025.

The Clemson University Science Outreach Center summer day camps are a blend of STEM adventure and educaiton designed for campers ages 8 – 12.

The morning will be art projects, robotics/coding, and math and academic refreshers. The afternoon is for field trips (field trips, skating, arcade, swimming, etc).
Monday-Friday, 7:00 am – 3 pm, June – August 1st.

Offers: A variety of Math Camps for all grade levels

STEM Day Camp is for incoming 9th – 12th grade students. All activities will challenge students to apply STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) topics to real-world situations. Activities may include rocket launching, drone aerodynamics, programming rovers, engineering with dominoes, 3D printing, crime scene analysis, and analyzing chemical reactions.

Offers: STEAM Summer Camps featuring a wide array of topics. For rising K4 through rising 8th grade.

Previous year’s camps have included animals, LEGO Robotics, Minecraft, coding, pre-algebra readiness, the solar system, nature walks, and much, much more.

Offers: Two camp sessions hosted by the Watershed Ecology Center at USC Upstate. Camps are available for kids entering 1st-3rd grades and kids entering 4th – 6th grades. Camps are from 9am-12 noon the second week of June.

AO Farm School (grades K-12) offers education rooted in faith, academics & agriculture, bridging the freedom & flexibility of homeschooling with the support of the school experience in a like-minded campus community.

Offers: For students interested in science and math, the Governor School for Science and Math offers camps in STEM for rising 6th- 10th grade.
