From cakes and desserts to private chef experience to catering, Chef Ebony at Suga Pie Honeybun does it all – and right here in Greenville, SC no less! She offered some of her bestselling dishes to us to try so we could write this review.

There are few things I love more than finding easier ways to feed my family during a busy week. I try to be intentional about menu planning, grocery shopping, and cooking regularly but it’s hard when you are trying to take care of the kids and do the million other things we have to do as parents to keep all the balls we are juggling in the air. This is the very reason why I was delighted when I met Chef Ebony, who runs a catering company called Suga Pie Honeybun.

Oh, and she’s an amazing pastry chef. Her signature dessert is a Strawberry Lemonade cake. I’ll get to that in this story but let me just say that Ebony is a cake wizard and I’ll be dreaming about it tonight.

Firebirds Wood-Fired Grill

Firebirds Wood-Fired Grill is located off Woodruff Road near Cabela’s. They’re known for their fresh ingredients, welcoming atmosphere, and hand-cut, aged steaks. Their steaks are wood-fired and have delicious, bold flavors. They also have fresh seafood and offer an array of specialty cocktails, select wines, and beer. Their pricing is modest ($28-32 for dinner), so if you’re looking for something a little more casual (dress code is ‘smart casual’), check out Firebirds.
