2026 Park Hop: Greenville, SC Has Your Favorite Summer Scavenger Hunt, and it’s Go Time!

Are you ready for one of the summer’s best annual events, Park Hop?
Park Hop, Greenville, SC, and Spartanburg, SC’s scavenger hunt for clues through Upstate parks, is a summer-long scavenger hunt event that’s perfect for your family. The Park Hop is free, you can enjoy the event on your own schedule, and your kids can earn fabulous prizes. Plus, you participate by exploring Upstate parks (isn’t that exactly what you already wanted to do this summer?).

Kidding Around Greenville is an official partner of the 2026 Park Hop. Watch Kidding Around Greenville for an exciting Park Hop series this summer. We are going to hop right along with you and give you the inside track on what you can expect when visiting this year.

What is the Park Hop?

When: Park Hop begins May 9th, 2026! Registration opens April 9th, 2026.

Be sure to register for this year’s Park Hop via the Park Hop Website.
For 2026, you will upload your Park Hop finds through the Park Hop website by first clicking the “Parks” section on the top right of the webpage. Then find your park and answer the clues.

  • Park Hop launches on May 9th, 2026.
  • Clues must be submitted by August 9th, 2026 (by midnight).
  • Each set of clues is worth 10 points.
  • Upload your clues on the Park Hop website through your account.
  • There will be multiple special events throughout the summer at specific parks.

What: Choose parks to visit from the list of parks in the Greenville and Spartanburg area. Win prizes, plus be entered into giveaways based on how many parks you visit. Each park will have a couple of scavenger hunt clues you can answer via the Park Hop parks website.

While hopping, we encourage you to use the hashtag #UpstateParkHop to share your adventures on social media. And, don’t forget to use #kidaroundsc or tag us on social media, too!

Park Hop: How to record your parks

When reaching a park on the list, access your clues via the Park Hop website.

Answer all of the clues at your location via the Park Hop parks webpage after logging into your account.

We encourage all of our Park Hop participants to share their photos via social media! You can also earn points from engaging with the Park Hop social media, so be sure to follow the Park Hop account for opportunities to earn.

You can also earn 5 points whenever you visit a Park Hop Playdate!

Post your photo on Facebook or Instagram, and all your other social networks using the hashtag #UpstateParkHop

  • Park Hop Playdates:
    • June 10, 2026: Pavilion Recreation Complex
    • July 15, 2026: Spartanburg location (TBD)
    • August 6, 2026: Greer location (TBD)
  • End Event:
    • Saturday, August 22, 2026: Unity Park

Even if you registered last year, you will need to sign up for your family again with an email address and the number of children participating.

Park Hop Greenville, SC Prizes

Children will earn prizes based on how many parks they visit. In past years, this has included some really cool prizes from local vendors and family attractions. The prizes you receive are based on how many parks you visit and complete clues for. Prize packages include:

  • Lily Pad Scout (50–99 points): Swag bag
  • Ribbit Ranger (100–149 points): Swag bag + t-shirt
  • Leaping Legend (150–199 points): Swag bag + t-shirt + extra prize
  • Ultimate Park Hopper (200+ points): Swag bag + t-shirt + extra prize + Ultimate Park Hopper ribbon

Pickup for prizes is set for August 22, 2026 at Unity Park in Downtown Greenville, SC.

Park Hop is the annual summer family event that makes perfect sense. While participating, you have the opportunity to discover new places as a family. Your kids will enjoy the outdoor time and play. And, your family will have the opportunity to win amazing prizes.

  1. This is great! I’m so excited to explore the area and meet new friends! We recently moved from the big island of Hawaii and this is a huge area for us to explore comprared to our two local parks there 😉😊👍🏻

    I’m hoping someone will be able to help me. We are doing Park Hop for the first time this year. On the app it says that the closing ceremony is mid August, but on your website above it’s listed as Oct. 5. I’m wondering which is the correct day. My boys have really enjoyed this year’s park hop and are hoping to be able to join the closing festivities.
