A Brief History of Glendale Shoals

Tucked along the banks of Lawson’s Fork Creek in Spartanburg County, Glendale is a mill village with a mighty legacy. It’s where Revolutionary War battles once echoed, colonial ironworks fired hot, and the South’s textile industry rose and fell.

Glendale Mill—initially called Bivingsville Cotton Factory—was built in the 1830s with a small dam over Lawson’s Fork Creek, topping off the series of waterfalls and shoals that flow downstream from it.

The textile mill changed hands over the decades, and the dam was replaced in 1903 after a great flood. A new metal bridge was built over the dam in the 1920s that still stands to this day. The mill brought financial stability to the Glendale area for over 100 years as a center of industry, booming during World War II as it met wartime demands for cloth, but finally stopped producing textiles in the 1960s.

After that, Glendale Mill was used primarily for storage until 2004, when a massive fire destroyed the facility, leaving only the ruins we see today. But from the ashes, the mill village found new life: The historic property and its surrounding acreage was gradually acquired by a few different groups to preserve it as a greenspace for the entire community.

Conversion to Nature Preserve

The Mill Office, along with 3 adjoining acres, was donated to Wofford College not long after the fire, providing fertile ground for the launch of their Goodall Environmental Studies Center.

Spartanburg Area Conservancy (SPACE) had obtained 13 acres around Glendale Mill only a decade before the fire, creating the initial Glendale Shoals Preserve, also sometimes called the Mary Arrington Walter Preserve after SPACE’s first executive director. Then, in 2022, SPACE was able to purchase an additional 17 acres in the area, expanding Glendale Shoals Preserve to a beautiful 30 acres along Lawson’s Fork Creek.

Most recently, in 2025, the State of South Carolina purchased 945 acres from private owners and leased it to Spartanburg County, marking the creation of the new Glendale Nature Park.

Today, these greenspaces around Glendale Shoals offer almost 1,000 acres combined for families to explore and enjoy. Amenities include a pedestrian bridge over the old Glendale Mill dam, the Carolyn Fawcett Converse Garden maintained by students and volunteers from Wofford College, multiple picnic spots and access points to Lawson’s Fork Creek, and 3.5 miles of connected, natural trails with even more in the works.

Hike the Forest in Glendale Nature Park

Newly opened in June 2025, Glendale Nature Park offers a sweeping 945-acre woodland wonderland adjacent to Glendale Shoals Preserve. As the second-largest greenspace in Spartanburg County, it’s an exciting new destination for families to hike and discover nature together.

Hikers at Glendale Nature Park will be starting at the northern trailhead of the Glendale Shoals natural trail network. You’ll find a clean gravel parking lot with a large map, showing not only the trails in Glendale Nature Park but also those in the Glendale Shoals Preserve. You can take a picture of the map like we did, but you’ll also find the map conveniently posted at key junctions on the trails!

From the parking lot, you’ll start down the easy 1.1-mile Hunt Club Trail marked in orange. This trail is wide enough for several people to pass shoulder to shoulder, mostly level, and manageable with a sturdy stroller. However, pushing a stroller is probably not a good idea after rain, as the trail can get muddy.

About 3/4 of the way down the Hunt Club Trail, you’ll have the option to turn left onto the moderate half-mile South Knob Trail marked in purple. This trail is much narrower, only wide enough for one or two people through most of it, with some inclines and terrain that will get your heart rate going.

The final trail is the moderate 1-mile Box Turtle Trail marked in white. This trail starts at the very end of the purple South Knob Trail and continues with much the same terrain until it hits the Glendale Shoals Trail in Glendale Shoals Preserve. The easier Hunt Club Trail marked in orange ends right at the halfway point of the white Box Turtle Trail.

Our favorite route is to walk the full Hunt Club Trail, turn left (east) onto the Box Turtle Trail—walking half of that trail, and then following the South Knob Trail back to the Hunt Club Trail. That route is roughly 3 miles and takes us less than an hour and a half at a pretty leisurely pace, and it’s a good mix of easy hiking at the start and finish with a little challenge thrown in the middle.

If you look closely at the trail map, you’ll notice the outlines of some more trails yet to come. A lot of clearing work still needs to be done on these trails, and they are not considered safe until they are officially opened to the public. Be sure not to venture down any unmarked trails on your visit, and stick to the ones with clear trail markers corresponding to their colors on the map!

Trail Summary:

  • Hunt Club Trail – Easy, 1.1 miles
  • South Knob Trail – Moderate, 0.5 miles
  • Box Turtle Trail – Moderate, 1 mile

Wander the Ruins at Glendale Shoals Preserve

Smaller but rich with character, Glendale Shoals Preserve offers just under 30 acres of historic, waterside beauty for families to explore—and it connects seamlessly into the trail system at Glendale Nature Park. You can hike straight into Glendale Shoals Preserve from Glendale Nature Park’s Box Turtle Trail!

If you prefer to drive, you can just put “Glendale Shoals Preserve” into your map app, and it will most likely lead you to the southernmost parking option off Emma Cudd Road. You’ll find limited roadside parking here, and a set of stairs leading down to a shaded, grassy area by the water. There is a small picnic pavilion with two tables, where you can look out on a calmer section of Lawson’s Fork Creek. You can access the water from this side of the preserve, but none of the trail system is accessible.

The next option is to park at Wofford College’s Goodall Environmental Studies Center on the northern side of Lawson’s Fork Creek. We highly recommend this option! There is more parking here, and easier access to all the amenities offered by both the Goodall Environmental Studies Center (more on that later!) and the larger Glendale Shoals Preserve.

Glendale Shoals Preserve offers two fantastic hiking trails—each with a different but beautiful view!

When you enter the preserve from the parking lot in front of the Goodall Environmental Studies Center, you can follow the path straight ahead to start on the Glendale Shoals Trail. This easy, half-mile trail is wide, grassy, and mostly level, but there are many narrow trails splitting off it towards the water! From the moment you enter the preserve, you can branch off to your right on just about any little path you see and find the best views of the shoals!

When the water level is low enough, you can even walk out on the rocks! Just watch your footing, as these rocks can get very slippery, and you do not want to take a tumble in water like this. Exercise even more caution after rainfall, when the water level will be higher and the current will be stronger.

The second trail is the easy, half-mile Glendale Greenway Trail. Some maps show the trail starting on the parking lot side of the Goodall Environmental Studies Center, but in our experience, there is usually a locked gate on this side of the building. Instead, go directly through the entrance to Glendale Shoals Preserve from the parking lot, and then cut through the gardens around the back of the building to get to the trailhead.

The Glendale Greenway Trail is also wide and grassy, but has more inclines along the way. The major highlight of this trail is right at the beginning, as it leads you directly past the ruins of the old Glendale Mill! There are a few different towers left behind, and you can get pretty close to them and even go inside one or two of the structures. There are a couple paved areas with one picnic table in each, but as of this writing, parents should be advised that there is some colorful graffiti in this area, and throughout the rest of the ruins.

The Glendale Greenway Trail and Glendale Shoals Trail do connect to one another, but you can also follow the Glendale Greenway Trail to a dead end and turn back or branch off the Glendale Shoals Trail onto the Box Turtle Trail, taking you into the larger Glendale Nature Park.

Pay careful attention around these intersections, as trail markings are not as clear here, and there are also some older trails in need of maintenance in the area. We recommend using a hiking map like AllTrails, or when in doubt, just retrace your steps back the way you came!

Trail Summary:

  • Glendale Shoals Trail – Easy, 0.5 miles
  • Glendale Greenway Trail – Easy, 0.5 miles

Learn and Grow with Goodall Environmental Studies Center

Now, as promised, let us fill you in on the Goodall Environmental Studies Center we keep mentioning! Located right at the entrance of Glendale Shoals Preserve and sitting pretty on 3 acres of its own, this is a living laboratory where students, researchers, and community members can learn from the surrounding landscape.

Right when you walk onto Glendale Shoals Preserve from their parking lot, you’ll spot the Carolyn Fawcett Converse Garden on your left, a lovingly maintained native plant garden with paths, seating areas, and signage for plant identification. There is a bee apiary in a fenced area on the far side of the building, and the honey is harvested and available for purchase at Hub City Farmer’s Market!

In addition to the gardens, the center plays a major role in watershed education. Wofford students and researchers actively monitor the health of Lawson’s Fork Creek and provide real-time data online through their public Stream Gauge and Dam Cam.

While the building itself is not open to the public for tours, the outdoor areas are open daily during daylight hours, and volunteers are always welcome for trail and garden upkeep. Follow the Goodall Environmental Studies Center on Instagram for details on volunteer opportunities!

Wander Wisely: Final Tips for an Epic Visit

With nearly 1,000 acres of preserved woodlands, waterfalls, historic ruins, and connected trails, Glendale Shoals is one of the most exciting outdoor destinations in Spartanburg County. Whether you’re planning a casual picnic, a scenic hike, or an afternoon of waterside exploration, this spot offers something for everyone.

And the best part? You can enjoy as much or as little of it as you want in one visit—every trail has its own unique charm to guarantee a good time. Before you lace up your shoes and head out the door, here are a few tips from our experiences:

  • Wear sturdy shoes for natural trails with mud and water.
  • Pack bug spray and a good hiking stick if you have one.
  • Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated on these hot days.
  • Remember to make a pit stop before you arrive, especially for your littlest family members, because there are no restrooms onsite.
  • Watch little ones very carefully around the water, and be careful with your own footing if you venture out onto the rocks.
  • Respect local wildlife, and don’t mess with any animals you might see as you explore.
  • Dogs on a leash are welcome, but be prepared to pick up after them.
  • Use the buddy system, and stay safe on these secluded trails.
  • Glendale Nature Park gets popular on Saturday mornings starting around 9am, but the trails at Glendale Shoals tend to be less populated no matter what time you go.

See You on the Trail!

Whether you’re chasing waterfalls, soaking up local history, or spotting turtles on the trail, Glendale Shoals is the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again. Pack your bag, grab your crew, and get ready to spend meaningful time outside with family or friends. Happy hiking!

Discover the Ecusta Trail Through Hendersonville, North Carolina

What’s Inside: A look at what’s waiting for families on Hendersonville, NC’s Ecusta Trail.

You may be familiar with the Swamp Rabbit, Mary Black & Doodle Trails, maybe you’ve even taken a road trip up to ride the Virginia Creeper Trail near Damascus, but if your family is looking for a brand-new trail to explore, I’ve got great news! The first 6 miles of the long-awaited Ecusta Trail are open to the public, with another dozen miles set to eventually connect Hendersonville to Brevard, NC!

The Grand Opening of the Ecusta Trail

Hundreds of people gathered in Hendersonville earlier this summer to celebrate the ribbon-cutting for the Ecusta Trail, the newest rail trail added to the growing network of multi-purpose trails crisscrossing western North Carolina. The Ecusta rail line was built in 1894 to service a paper mill, but the last time a train used the rail corridor was in 2002. It has taken 15 years of community efforts from nonprofits, including Friends of Ecusta Trail and Conserving Carolina, to transform it into the trail it is today!

Ecusta Trail Grand Opening

Stops to Make Along the Trail

The Eastern Terminus of the Ecusta Trail

The eastern terminus of the Ecusta Trail (and to the section of trail that is currently open) is Main Street in Hendersonville. The town recently reworked their traffic pattern to make a safe and convenient bike lane that allows trail users to explore downtown, including some of our favorites like the Mineral & Lapidary Museum, the E.C.C.O. Aquarium & Shark Lab, the Appalachian Pinball Museum, Mast General Store and Black Bear Coffee.

Ecusta Trailhead

Be sure to check out the Bearfootin’ Bears, a public art display featuring decorated, life-size bear sculptures!

A good starting point to exploring downtown is the Welcome Center and Trailhead (with bathrooms and water fountains). As you work your way south, the Ecusta Trail splits off going west just before S. Church & S. Main merge – and the adventure continues!

Lennox Station and Beyond

A popular stop comes up in about ½ mile: Lennox Station. Trail users can grab a quick bite from Ecusta Market & Café, and just next door is Trailside Brewing Company. Then at around mile 1.5 is Southern Streams Coffeehouse and Laurel Green Park, with the Little Laurel Green playground. Next up at mile 2 are a slew of dining options, as well as a convenience and grocery store. And around mile 3 is Basecamp: the Elijah Mountain Gem Mine and Goat Farm, and Guidon Brewing Co.

Where the Trail Ends

The trail currently ends at mile 6 in Horse Shoe, but plans are already underway for the next two sections. 5 more miles in Henderson County through Etowah and another 8 in Transylvania County will take the trail to Pisgah Forest and the western terminus, Main Street in Brevard.

For this part, the trail roughly parallels the French Broad River and Hendersonville Highway. Etowah has more than a couple of eateries and stops, as well as the Horse Shoe River Bend Access point to the French Broad River. Upon reaching Pisgah Forest and Brevard, the trail will intersect with the Brevard greenway near Oskar Blues, just west of where the Davidson River flows into the French Broad.

Please, Follow Etiquette to Stay Safe

While on the trail, users should follow the usual trail etiquette. Please respect private property and stay on the trail! Pedal-assist e-bikes are permitted on the Ecusta, but wheels yield to pedestrians, and you should keep right except to pass.

We’ve found it’s great practice for our “on your left” warning when passing – even the 5-year-old who is just learning his left from right! Helmets are required for children 16 years of age and under (who are on wheels), and pets must be on a leash no longer than 6ft & under control. Please clean up after your pet as you would anywhere!

Pristine Island, a Splash Park, & Cabins: Lake Hartwell at Big Water Marina

Posted on |

Inside: A real mom review of Big Water Marina on Lake Hartwell.

Have you been to Big Water Marina?
Lake Hartwell is home to this combination aqua park, campground, restaurant, and watersport hub! It is just an hour from Greenville, SC, and has tons of family-friendly entertainment, food, water options, and even beautiful cabins. So stay for a day, a weekend, or a week! Media tickets were provided to Splash Island for this review.

I came to the Big Water Marina at Lake Hartwell for Splash Island but stayed for the relaxing island vibe and really wish I could have ended our day watching the sunset from the restaurant, J.R. Cash’s, but had to get back home – which, thankfully, was only an hour drive back to Greenville. There are some pretty intense Margaritaville vibes happening here, which truly will leave you relaxed and happy and wanting to return.

It’s not just the amazing Splash Island waterpark with a floating obstacle course that shines here. It’s the tiny cabins, the delicious cuisine at the restaurant, the hammocks on the beach, the chill pirate ship playground right next to the restaurant, and the staff that make this place so cool. I’m here to tell you all about it.

Giant aqua park at Splash Island in Anderson, South Carolina

About the Big Water Marina: Lake Hartwell

The family-friendly atmosphere is immediately apparent at the marina and campground and once I met one of the owners, Trey Boggs, a fifth-generation Anderson, SC resident, who has three daughters of his own, it was easy to figure out why. He spoke my language immediately as he explained how his kids just love the aqua park so much and get so worn out while the parents chill on the beach in the sand – or join in on the fun if they want.

“If the kids aren’t having fun, they are going to whine about leaving, and parents won’t have any fun either,” Trey said.

Isn’t that the truth? There’s no danger of that happening at the Big Water Marin,a thankfully. Trey and his brother bought the marina back in 2017 and gradually added more acreage as time went on so that today, the marina is now about 200 acres in total and an island unto itself with multiple RV slots, boat slips, Splash Island, a restaurant, and shop.

Splash Island Waterpark

Splash Island is an interlocking floating obstacle course on Lake Hartwell at the Big Water Marina. Wibit is a German company that manufactures the actual parts of the obstacle course and they are moveable to create new routes or add onto existing obstacles. This is the second Wibit course I’ve run (well, tried to run, more like slipped around) and it’s so much fun!

The course as they have it set up now is more than 80 feet long and is in deep enough water where you can safely jump off the highest obstacles and into the nice, warm water. They have monkey bars and running obstacles similar to the show, Wipeout, which I love to watch and laugh at all the people falling into the water. Now that I’ve done it myself, people are laughing at me falling into the water after failing to make it across some obstacle.

Splash Island aqua park
About to wipeout

My kids had such a blast and time just flew by. We were on the course for about two hours but it didn’t even feel that long except that we were completely and utterly exhausted. That thing is a major workout! Kids need to be 46 inches tall to do it by themselves. Kids under that height can still do it but they will need to have a parent or guardian with them on the course.

There was always a staff member on the course paying close attention to the kids – and adults – running it and just making sure everyone was safe. You have to wear lifejackets to do the course as well, which are provided. Tickets are $15/hour or $25/two hours. Splash Island is opening the weekend of May 18th, 2025 for the season.

The Beach & Other Water Rentals

There’s a good size beach with sand at Big Water Marina in front of Splash Island. And they have chairs and hammocks and strung lights and picnic tables and I never wanted to leave. It was so relaxing. You don’t need to be doing the water obstacle course in order to use the beach and there is no charge to park or to be admitted to the sandy space on the lake. Pets can be there but they must be leashed and owners must clean up after them.

Big Water Marina Beach

Big Water Marina at Lake Hartwell also rents paddleboards, kayaks, hydrobikes, and pontoon boats. I didn’t know what a hydrobike was and the good people at the marina let me try one. They are fun! You basically just work it like you’re riding a bike, super easy but also a little tiring. You have to wear a lifejacket and kids ages 8+ who can reach the pedals can ride one. They are $25/hour but also are available for day and weekly rentals.

If a hydrobike isn’t up your alley, give a paddleboard or a kayak a try. I personally love paddleboarding and find it to be an excellent water activity.

Pontoon boat rentals, which can fit up to 13 people, start at $350 for a half day (four hours). You can rent by half day, full day, sunset cruise, or a weekly rental.

Tiny Cabins

I have a thing for tiny houses. My dream is to live in one somewhere in the woods and read all the books I want. But until I can do that, I’m always on the hunt for awesome tiny cabins to stay in and I’ve finally found the perfect – and I mean, perfect – one at the Big Water Marina campground.

I got a tour of a one bedroom tiny cabin with a double loft (so a loft on both sides of the house), full kitchen, living area, bathroom, and porch and I want it so bad. I wanted to take that little cabin with me to my non-existent plot of land in a forest somewhere. It was so cute and beautiful and decorated with a rustic minimalism. There are ladders that lead to each loft that kids would just love and the master bedroom was gorgeous. They face west so you’ll get to enjoy a glass of wine on the porch and watch a stunning sunset. Trey tells me the sunsets there rival those of Key West. I’m gonna need to test that out.

Inside of a tiny cabin at Big Water Marina in Anderson, South Carolina

There are one bedroom and two bedroom cabins. The one bedroom ones can fit a family of six and the two bedroom cabins can fit up to seven people. Cabins can generally fit between four and seven people comfortably. If a weekend getaway is on your mind or a quick summer family trip, this is the place. You’re saving on gas, you have the water and beach for activities, a restaurant to eat at or a kitchen in your cabin to cook in, and Splash Island to wear the kids out at. Prices vary for the different cabins and seasons.

J.R. Cash’s Grill & Bar

The restaurant on site at the marina, J.R. Cash’s Grill & Bar, has some Margaritaville vibes going on, complete with open air dining overlooking the lake, teal chairs, and strung lights. The food is upscale bar food with burgers, fish platters, chicken tenders, and shrimp, plus a creative cocktail menu.

View of Lake Hartwell

On the suggestion of one of the staff members down at Splash Island, we got an order of the Chicken Tenders and oh my gosh, these chicken tenders were the most tender, flavorful and light chicken tenders I’ve ever had. The honey mustard sauce was really good as well. I may have to go back to this place just for these chicken tenders. We also tried a burger, which was super tasty. But oh, those chicken tenders.

Besides the chicken tenders at J.R. Cash’s, the pirate ship playground really made this place stand out. There is a legit pirate ship that has slides, swinging rings, rope ladders, and even a covered bow. So cool. My kids really loved this and once again, Big Water Marina proved they know what parents want when going out to dinner – a place for the kids to play and them to enjoy their drinks and food. The play area also had a hammock and tire swing for the bigger kids.

Honest Mom Review of Big Water Marina

I’ve been to a lot of neat places in our area but really, really loved this one for a few reasons. I felt that the owners thoughtfully took into consideration the needs of families to have quality time together in a fun and safe environment without having to even leave if they were staying at the campground. Everything they need is right there and it’s set up for maximum enjoyment. I was also so impressed by the staff members. They were attentive and kind and interacted with my kids and were just cool people. You could tell they liked being there.

Pirate Ship Playground

I think the biggest shocker for me was that this place was only an hour away from Greenville. An hour! This is easily a day trip or a weekend trip if I can snag one of those tiny homes. I can’t wait to see what Trey and his family does next at the Big Water Marina.

Tips on Visiting the Big Water Marina: Lake Hartwell

There are a few important things to note if you want to visit the marina and Splash Island.

Aeriel view of Big Water Marina
Aerial photo provided by Big Water Marina
  • Splash Island is open Friday-Sunday until Memorial Day Weekend and then Thursday-Sunday during the summer so don’t go on Monday and expect to achieve all your Wipeout dreams. Check the schedule before you go. They are open 10 am – 6 pm. The management has been turned over since we went so the experience may be a little different.
  • Purchase your tickets online to ensure your spot at Splash Island. They do take walk-ins as well. The cost for an hour is $15 and for two hours is $25.
  • Height and age restrictions: You have have to be 7 or older OR at least 42″ tall.
  • J.R. Cash’s restaurant is open Thursday-Sunday. We went to Splash Island first and then to eat and it worked out great since we were so hungry after doing the floating obstacle course.
  • You can bring chairs, tents, and coolers to the beach. There’s no admission or parking charge.
  • Bring water and a change of clothes. I hate driving around in a wet bathing suit and it’s hot so you really need to make sure you’re hydrated.
  • Restrooms and showers are available near the restaurant for the public to use.

Kid Venture 2.0 in Anderson, SC is Full of Playful Structures and a Splash Pad!

Posted on |

Have you been to Kid Venture 2.0, the Anderson splash pad, and the playground yet? We are here to tell you all about it because you are going to really love it!

kid venture 2.0 anderson sc

The Splash Pad

Let’s just start there because that’s why you’re reading this story, isn’t it? The splash pad is open starting May 24, 2025, and runs through early August, daily from 9 am – 8 pm. Then only Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, plus Labor Day.

Kid Venture 2.0 Anderson splash pad

The design of the entire playground is so playful and fun, including the splash pad. There is water that comes out from the ground as well as drops from above in structures that are tall and colorful. There isn’t much shade yet at the splash pad but the county will be planting trees along the benches to help remedy that challenge. They couldn’t do it in the heat of summer or the trees would die.

The entire splash pad is fenced in and sits right next to the path along the pond where the ducks and geese are.

The Playground

The whole playground is ADA-accessible and part of the playground is also sensory-friendly. Glenn Brill, the Director of the Parks, Recreation & Tourism Division for Anderson County, told me this playground is meant to be for everyone. His enthusiasm was contagious and I could easily see how excited he is for the playground and splash pad to open to the public.

There is an adorable little market area for little kids with a fire truck for them to drive, tunnels to climb through, and an imitation farmers market. It is so cute and they call it the Lil Village. Aw!

Kid Venture 2.0 playground

The sensory-friendly area is just beyond that part with cozy nooks to sit inside.

Part of the original playground from Kid Venture is still there and it includes some of the swing and bigger slides and walkways. There’s also a spinning area called Swingin & Blues with little seats that spin, a mushroom spinning wheel kids can hang onto, and a wheelchair-accessible ground level spinning covered seat Merry Go Round. My kids loved this one.

There are beautiful shaded areas with benches throughout the playground and the ground is quite soft.

The Bathrooms

The bathrooms are large and beautiful and heavy duty. Glenn told me they double as a storm shelter and can sustain winds up to 120 mph. You didn’t know a bathroom could do that, did you? Don’t feel bad, neither did I.

The bathrooms are on automatic locks and are open 8 am – 8 pm and are right inside the playground next to the splash pad for easy access.

The Picnic Shelter

There’s a nice, big shaded picnic area at Kid Venture but the county isn’t renting it out – it’s first come, first served. So if you want to have a birthday party there for your kid (which would be pretty cool), just get there early and set up. There’s no charge for having a party there or any other gathering.

Visiting Kid Venture 2.0

Kid Venture 2.0 has a lot going for it and as a parent, the two things I noticed straight away that I thought were so key was that the entire playground is fenced in and that there are plenty of shaded areas for sitting. And the shade isn’t just some canopy. Nope. They are gorgeous butterflies and flowers, so eye-catching and pretty and useful! If you’ve been to Dollywood, these look very similar to the shade structures they have there.

Kid Venture 2.0

The playground is open daily for play, bathrooms open from 8 am – 8 pm. The splash pad is open daily starting Memorial Day, 9 am – 8 pm.

There is no fee for the playground or splash pad. The county has installed cameras throughout the park for security as well.

I brought my kids, ages 11 and 7, to both the playground and splash pad, and they loved it. I’d say the best ages are toddlers through middle school, maybe a bit younger. Kid Venture 2.0 is such a great addition to Anderson County and I think the community will truly love this place.
